Just a thought - why don't we move Coady back to midfield when we get a decent CB? Then we keep his motivational skills, plus his forward passes will be even more effective, also he could play as DM, releasing Neves into a more attacking role.

I don't think Coady is cut out to play DM in the PL. He doesn't really have the mobility / pace to get around the pitch like he would need to. I don't think he has the quickness of feet & thought required either. He could probably do it in the champ but in the PL I think he'd be like a worse version of Donk.

I don't think he could even do it particularly well in the Championship, Coady is a pretty terrible midfielder

Well he couldn’t do it in the championship. He was a midtable CM

I remember Coady in midfield before Nuno. Not pretty.
