Wolves 1-1 Everton: Verdict Thread

I thought Hwang looked sharp last night. Hopefully he can stay fit until the end of the season because he's definitely got something to contribute.
I'll probably always maintain that he's just a bad fit for where Prem tactics are at currently, not terribly unlike Sarabia. Just not a lot of room in the English game for that sort of '#9.5' player that is, at least IMV, the archetypal "second striker".

In the 4-4-2 era I think both would have been far more effective, but it is what it is.

I think a large part of it is that he just can't stay fit and takes ages to get up to speed when he's returning from injury. 'The best ability is availability'.

No coincidence that his best form for us had always been when he's had a run of games.

Andre last night - 97% passing accuracy, 8 duels won and 8/8 successful long passes

He's absolutely class. I genuinely think he'd start for the majority of teams in this league and probably improve them.

Yeah I'm wondering if he will be a target for big clubs over Gomes in the Summer.

Okay, I forgive you for disliking Marshall. ;)

I think he would solve a ton of City's current issues tbh. Though I can't see him beating out Rodri when both are healthy.

The sort of player you'd expect Liverpool to be interested in. He was superb last night. The type of performance we saw from Lemina from time to time.

Well yeah, Rodri is the best player in the world lol.

I think Nico is a lovely footballer but I'd definitely prefer André.

Pep would probably do something like play him as a full back though

Yeah I mean Liverpool were interested in him the summer before we signed him. He'd be perfect for them.

I'm nailing my colours to the mast and saying Sasa is a better player than Larsen. He's more mobile, stronger in the challenge, and has better movement.

Just a shame he can't stay fit.

Well that's a pretty important requirement, still early days for Larsen yet but he hasn't been good enough recently. He showed enough in the first half of the season to be given time yet. Plus he's our only option currently.

I don’t think the criticism of Larsen as slow or immobile is fair. He looks sluggish at the moment but earlier in the season he was much more suited to running in behind and attacking space rather than holding the ball up. To me he just looks like everything has caught up with him, he’s tired and that’s affecting his touch as well as his movement

He's literally just back from an injury as well. You ask any footballer in the world to be the only acceptable striker in a bottom half team and they're going to end up being run into the ground.

If you look at his career path as well, he's had 2 years at Groningen and 2 years at Vigo. In his first season at each club he was okay but then exploded in his second season. I've seen more than enough from him to be excited about what might come next season.

Exactly why it would have felt weird not to mention him!

André is probably in the conversation for best pure #6 in the Prem right now. Only concern is he offers less going forward than Ruben did, and we saw how that affected the bids we got for him.
