Chelsea 3-1 Wolves: Verdict Thread

Let's be fair our tactics for 30 odds mins were appalling and gave no one a chance. A few tweaks finally got us on the front foot, only to revert back in the 2nd half.
There were tactics first 30? Absolute prime GON chaos I thought.

The regularity with which players apparently half-ass is absolutely disgusting and really turns me off tbh.

I’d rather he just refuse to play, assuming that he’s legitimately sandbagging out there. As it is, he didn’t strike me as loafing about yesterday.

Cunha only played 180 mins since he terrorised Man Utd and Leicester before that.

He's since had an injury, suspensions and illness.

This all seems a bit much to me, reactive and recency bias overload.
It's cos of his perceived bad attitude lately. No-one noticed it when was gliding past people and scoring/assisting. He's always liked a strop when things aren't going well for him.
His performance could obviously be injury or illness related so people need to cut him some slack for now.

It's like some people actually want him to fuck off and consign us to 19th place

It's not unusual for Cunha to look not bothered during matches . We've seen that before this season .

Lemina and Cunha are quite similar - all happy and chirpy , and everyone's friend when there are roses in the garden . However , when the weeds reappear , they don't like it when they're asked to do a little bit extra .
They're both quite moody and unpredictable , both got involved in after match spats etc .

Having said all that - I wouldn't rule out both of them settling down again assuming they stay , and contributing . We'll need both of them ready and available .

I don't think Cunha's body language was great yesterday, he was very frustrated that things weren't going our/his way, especially if others didn't pass to him etc. when he was in a good postion, was fairly low key with the fans when coming over to take a corner etc.

Vitor was talking to him at every opportunity on the sideline during breaks of play etc.

My overall impression though is that he just wants to win, and for us not to be in a relegation fight, and if I was him and was looking at a back three of Doc - Bueno - Agba and our defensive unit as a whole who have now conceded the most goals this season of any team in the Premier League, then I don't really blame him and I can completely understand some of his frustration.

Out of our list of problems currently, Cunha has to be fairly low down the scale.

Yep, fair summary.

They're both talented and fickle.

There was this rumpus over Neto's body language last season too, think Liam and Nathan brought it up then too.

Storm in a tea cup in my opinion, and the more it's talked about in the press the more issues it causes for the club/team.

You are using a site that gave Matt Doherty MOTM because he scored a goal as the case for the defence? Who's your second witness, Garth Crooks?
Was surprised to see that myself.

But these scores are done via AI I believe and couldn't be more objective. Which was my point, Cunha was far from "one of the worst performances seen in a Wolves shirt" levels.

If it's Whoscored then they've always had terrible metrics for defenders that make no sense.

But no, if I were compiling my '100 Worst Individual Wolves Performances' DVD (one for all the family at Christmas) then that showing by Cunha wouldn't merit a serious nomination.

If Doherty had not tried to nod the ball past Sa, the first goal wouldn’t have happened….then.

J. Gomes MOTM, with Aggers’ performance and R. Gomes’s cameo being the other bright spots.
