On the Cunha stuff I believe he and his podcast boss decided the best point of reaction was around Cunha's performance.
The comments on his performance and body language started at around 70 mins....they then lost control of it without realising and carried on way past FT and got Vitor to react in a negative manner.

Liam's apology even says he will discuss it more in the Podcast. Everything about getting SM reactions and interactions but went a step to far and the club have dropped the E&S bollocking and Liam had a day off posting before saying sorry.

E&S will be delighted though as they have created a story. Downside is despite probably getting decent hits on their website 99% of those visitors only read 5% of the story because they won't pay them £6 to read it all.

I think media in general made the mistake of making digital content free for too long so it became the expectation. Everyone was outraged when the e&s went to £6 a month, but you were paying that 35 years ago if you bought it daily.
Even if you go on a red top free site these days it's full of 'viewers are all saying the same thing about...' pieces which are just interns combing through Twitter
