Chelsea 3-1 Wolves: Verdict Thread

Going in 2 footed on players in the media is only going to end one way, this is not how you deal with these situations. Probably why he hasn't kept a job anywhere for more than 5 minutes.
It’s poor man management and gets people’s backs up which in turn can cause unrest in a dressing room.
It’s a big no for me unless the player has done something horrible and needs denouncing from public image view point.
Certain things always end badly outing your players in public is one and going to war with your own fan base the other.

We all wanted and expected him to call out Jeff though not our best player and a midfielder he thinks is a bit shit.
Wishful thinking then as his past shows he's pretty indiscriminate about who he falls out with @jdrodrigues described him as "a terrible leader of men".

As can be seen in the video Cunha does clap the fans but then leaves the pitch on his own leaving the rest of the players and staff out there. He seemed a bit subdued throughout the game. Something appears to be bothering him.

From his cv it looks like VP generally goes to clubs that are considered quite big in their respective leagues. Such clubs generally change manager because the team is underperforming. In such circumstances the players may need a rocket up there backside. We aren’t in that position, we have players that were badly managed and in need of organisation. Giving players that are low on confidence a public bollocking really won’t help the situation. Time for VP to walk the walk and get them organised and doing the basics right.

It's a fuss about nothing, and Vitor is a fucking bellend for publicly calling him out on something without actually knowing that it'd happened.
Not seen the video but did he answer a question to say walking off isn’t acceptable or did he go any further. I saw the quotes about body language and caring too much.

He was fed the question (with the incorrect premise) from Keen

Him and Judah both made multiple posts laying into Cunha yesterday, what's the agenda? Bit OTT just for a below par individual performance

I would say they were looking for hits on the social media counter and podcast listens.

It all started with about 20 mins to go and it worked.

Purely guessing. Cunha has made it clear he wants to leave, they know it, but have been asked to keep it quiet, so they are putting the boot in instead. His performance last night was half arsed at best which could be because of that, it also could be because he feels under the weather too. Given Arsenal are supposedly his biggest suitors I'd expect him to be on it again on Saturday

My guess is your guess isn't to far wrong. 'Half arsed at best' is definitely being kind to his performance last night. His first 30 minutes was one of the very worst first 30 minute displays I've seen from anyone in a Wolves shirt. The last 20 wasn't much better.

P.S. and I'm a fan of his!

I think it’s totally unreasonable for a key player to want out in January and even more so when the club is in a relegation battle. Just leave it until the summer FFS when it’s clear you will be sold.

Let's be fair our tactics for 30 odds mins were appalling and gave no one a chance. A few tweaks finally got us on the front foot, only to revert back in the 2nd half.
