Wolves 1-4 Manchester United: Verdict Thread

You could have said the same about Wrexham or Blues but they found a saviour.
At the moment I dont care who it is.
Different level though and not really comparable. They bought clubs for a lot less than what’s being touted as wolves value. Ofcourse likely to plummet next year.

True its a different level but I have to have hope that there is someone out there who wants to take us on, otherwise whats the point in being a fan?
Also on our current trajectory it will only be 1 or 2 seasons before we are comparable.

They aren't plucky losers. They aren't swashbuckling lovers. They aren't leave it all on the pitch losers. They aren't unlucky losers. They are just losers, the worst kind of losers, the type of losers you don't care about.

Johnstone. Neither better or worse than Sa, just a different type of shit.

Toti. Not ever a Premier League defender.

Agbadou. We have seen the best of him, memories are all we have.

Mosquera. Possibly a decent player in there. Who knows.

Andre. If he was an academy graduate from Darlaston he wouldn't be getting a look in. He.has checked out.

Krejci. We have managed to drag him down to our level.

Jhon Anonymous. We have signed some rubbish over the years. Add one to the list

Bellegarde. Only one who wanted to get forward. Then lost the ball, caused a goal and got injured in the space of a few seconds.

JSL. I don't think I like him.

Premier League managers will use what's happened to Wolves as a negotiating tool for years to come. The dangers of being a selling club, of doing it on the cheap, of having no succession planning in place, of not using data and analytics in recruitment, of owners having too big an influence on footballing operations. We're a case study on how hubris can turn you from an established Premier League club to a record breakingly bad team in a couple of years. We're a shambles. Every aspect of this club, on and off the pitch, has been a failure.

I had a message off a United fan yesterday, feeling sorry for us. People aren't even laughing at us ffs. I despise Jeff Shi.

Me and my lad were discussing who in the league we have a chance of beating. Best I could come up with is somehow scamming a win against Burnley. Leeds are shit but have more fight that us. Everyone else is better than us by some margin.
Might get some near the end of the season when other teams are under lots of pressure but other than that I have no idea who we'd beat.

You look back at the wonderful Wolves Archive and watch the 90s videos...Steve Corica, universally and correctly lambasted for being an ineffectual coward, contributed LOADS more than Jhon "can't spell his own name properly" Arias will ever do in a gold shirt.
Brace at Palace. Assist at Blues. Arias = 0

No I get you. I’m with you as well. Granted I’m not part of an investment company but I’m really unsure what the end game is for Fosun. They’ve wiped millions off the valuation of the club in the last couple of years

Remember how Boro fans hate us for stealing RE?

Well, this morning I've had a boro fan being really empathetic and telling me he feels sorry for us - ffs, I preferred it when boro hated us

You could genuinely make a 3 part Netflix documentary about the years that fosun have been here. Has the perfect elements of a slow start and meteoric rise then a slow decline into embarrassing disgrace with Jeff Shi being the ultimate villain of it all.
Or we people could say for years “don’t do a Wolves” when their club is struggling.
Most of us saw this coming we just probably thought it was relegation not the biggest ever humiliation. If you’re 50+ you’d have witnessed the 80’s collapse, the stagnant 90’s, Glenn Hoddle, back to back relegations and now this.

there was a Shi out banner in front of my seat yesterday. To get around the updated flag rules, a few people had individual flags, each with a letter on, and when in the ground they attached the pieces together.
There was a 2nd banner in SL3 or SL4 but i couldn't see what it said.

I'm not sure which of our players I hate most. So many cowards and charlatans in that squad.

I really don't care who fucks off in January, I wouldn't miss a single one of them. Any of them who wants out will get out - unlike us, they don't care about the club. We'll be left with whatever pile of utter shite is still here when we kick off in the championship in August.

Unfortunately, whilst we can choose not to go to matches, or not to even watch it on TV, it still hurts seeing our club in such a mess. We can't just stop caring or supporting. The decision to switch off the screens in the concourses sums up the attitude from the club to the fans - pure spite, no interest in how those fans who pay to go to games actually feel.

Definitely getting a lot of sympathy from colleagues and friends as opposed to the stick I would normally get.

I’ve had a record number of messages from various people over the last 12 hours - all sent with sympathy - about the plight of our club. So last nights protests, the result and media coverage has definitely done the job which is at least something! As Langers says, ultimately it’s people just feeling sorry for us. But if Fosun are FINALLY starting to understand (they probably aren’t) at least something positive has come from this absolute car crash.

I’m working from home today & have sky sports news on in the background. Made the mistake of looking up as the highlights from last night were on. Just look at the complete and utter embarrassment on the goals. On their first, Andre is truly, truly awful (just pass it back, kick it off the pitch do ANYTHING other than what you did) - then I’ve no idea what Agbadou is doing. He doesn’t try and tackle, he doesn’t try to block, he doesn’t go to the goal-line (like Toti did when he cleared it off the line) - he just sort of stands there, existing in the moment but doing nothing. Then you’ve got Johnstone who was awful.

The Mason Mount goal. Initially I was looking at the static, flat footed defence - but have another watch and look at the ‘enthusiasm’ with which Krejci tries to get out to stop Bruno dinking it over the top (spoiler: it’s pathetic) - and he’s supposed to be one of our better players!

The whole squad is gone. They’re all checked out. There’s no fight, no backbone - they’re all cowards & I hate them all.

Rob Edwards was getting some stray bullets on here yesterday but I think that’s harsh. I don’t think he’s the saviour (I think he’ll be “ok” in the championship, but that’s it) - but just look at the playing squad, ffs. Pep wouldn’t be able to do anything with them. The attitudes of the players is disgusting. None of them want to be here or have a clue how to stop the slide - we are rotten to the core as a club. JSL’s attitude for the whole season has been a disgrace. Andre trying to deliberately get himself booked last night so he can avoid the inevitable Arsenal cricket score - disgrace. Arias waddling about looking like he’s some sort of hostage - disgrace.

They can all fuck off.

No way Edwards will be up to the task in the Championship, he'll be so traumatised by this season that he'll be cooked and fit for fuck all.

He should never have taken the job, I've no sympathy for him as he went in there with his eyes wide open.

We’ll probably be used in business studies worldwide on how not to run a business, or as a case of how you need people who know what they’re doing in charge

Just out of curiosity, if you could pick a Wolves owner/CEO combo out of Fosun & Shi or Morgan & Moxey, who would you go for?

The heights of Europe under Fosun before the crushing disappointment of throwing it all away that we're seeing now, or the perhaps more honest grim reality of Morgan wanting to be in the big boys' club (despite not being insanely wealthy) and the constant bullshit from Moxey?

Those are the choices. "None of the above" isn't an option. Sorry :-).

I keep asking on social media posts about wanting Fosun out, who’s buying us? And I just get abuse about not being a real supporter, I’d know if I was local ( wtf does that mean?) being a Fosun bitch ( again wtf?) and so on.
On the cesspit of Twitter I saw a post by a Wolves fan of photos of fans who were in their seats at kick-off calling them “scabs”

There was one genius in the South Bank yesterday shouting at people in the food/drink queue.
