This whole "debate" started on the match thread.

I'm not reading through dozens of posts saying "oh, close there from Bellegarde" so what materially is different on there to what has been said here, and what deviates from the point of "don't bring race/nationality into it as it's immaterial".

For what it’s worth, I mentioned last week I didn’t like the flag stuff and they’re treading in an uneasy area.

I’m not sure they’d be allowed to take in flags saying “Jeff Shi is a cunt and Fosun need to fuck off”, though.

It does when I made my initial post referencing people being sneery, when no one mentioned race at all, and then you point the finger specifically at me when I was clearly making an entirely different point.

It's not a million miles off, is it. Attack the issue - that they've employed a moron to run our club single handedly when he doesn't know anything about football, and he's clearly been drunk on power for years - not the nationality.

You’re obviously not racist. You said people on here are being ridiculous for criticising fans that are actually trying to do something - and that’s fair enough. I doubt the people posting the flag on Wolves socials etc are racist (or you’d like to think they’re not) - but maybe I’m being naive. They’re just trying to get behind something and feel part of something.

I’m pleased there are fans starting to make a stand against Fosun. It’s long overdue. There were probably multiple better ways they could have done it, without treading in a slightly uneasy area. Hopefully Jeff (the cunt) and Fosun are starting to notice the frustration in the fanbase. If they are, I guess it’s done its job.

To use an example, I used to find Morrissey amusing when he'd go on about the absurdity of the music business in a very erudite way (it is absurd).

Just to tidy this up, because somehow the simplest point on the thread (well, the other thread) has turned into a full blown group project in overthinking.

I wasn’t defending the flag. I wasn’t defending bringing nationality into it.

My point was about the tone on here, the same happened with the open letters.

It is the sneering, the grammar SWAT team, the whole “look at these idiots trying to do something.” That’s what I commented on. Nothing to do with race, because I didn’t mention race.

The only reason we’re even talking about race now is because other people dragged it in after the fact and decided that’s what I meant. It wasn’t. And I’ve shown that above.

If people want to argue with what I actually wrote, fine. If they want to argue with a version of it they’ve invented, they can crack on without me.
