Bristol City 1-2 Wolves (FA Cup 3rd Round): Verdict Thread

He does at least try now and from time to time he pulls out some quality.

There are still moments in every game though where he looks like he wouldn't get a game for Stafford. That finish for what was basically an open goal yesterday for instance, inexplicable.

He still isn't very good, let's be honest. Just we're getting some contribution rather than none.

Just hope Dawson and Toti aren't out long.
Toti probably keeps his LCB role because he's what Vitor is looking for, which is at least one CB who is comfortable filling in at full back as well.

Dawson however isn't reliable enough any more to start games. His passing has quickly become a complete liability and he can't track runners any more because he's too old. He's ideal for bringing on in the role he did against Man Utd - to hold on to a lead for the last 10 or so minutes when all that's required is to head and kick balls away that are launched into our box.

I don't think we're getting another CB unless we move someone on.

We'll bodge along with Doc/Bueno/Agba until Toti is back and then chose from them, with Dawson as backup and Meupiyou as the youngster on the bench now and then

Absolutely, given the fixtures there's every chance we'll be in the bottom 3 entering March, we can't afford to look beyond this season.
Possibly, although I give us a lot more chance of picking points up against the big boys now compared to 2-3 months ago!

Newcastle away , Chelsea away , Liverpool away , City Away and Arsenal at home . Tough ask in fairness .

Yep it's possible we get nowt from them, I'd like to think 3 is possible and a vague hope for 4-5. It's gunna be interesting for the next 5 games. Hopefully whatever points we get, the performances will give us hope.

Oh no, he's not turned into Pele overnight, nor is he a Cunha-type player that you look at and think "glad we've got him", but he's definitely been more than adequate recently. And yes, those "finishes" were painful!

Of course, history would suggest that he's going to lose interest very soon, but for where we are, this version of Guedes will do for now.

Sorry - it's not City away , it's Villa at home - should have a chance there of points .
