Wolves 2-3 Leeds: Verdict Thread

He set up a good chance for Trincao in the few minutes he was on. If you look at the other posts several suggest that Silva should have played a bigger part. What did Raul do tonight? Californian Chardonnay & San Miguel actually.
Can always rely on Johnny75 for his educated & respectful contribution.

We'll likely never see it again, because no one cares outside of Wolves, but the elbow from Greenwood on Saiss was extremely dangerous. VAR should have had him off for that, god only knows why it brushed over by the comms too.

Oh and that Chiquinho challenge, you're absolutely right. There are no words. Then of course seconds later he gives them a free kick.
Two things should've happened there.

1) Saiss was clearly concussed and should've been removed immediately

2) Greenwood should've been sent of for an elbow.

This was the start of Kevin Friends abysmal performance.

To add to the ref getting it so wrong was the utter contemptable cunts with the flags. I don't think I've seen such a bad performance from an officiating crew ever.

Then Bruno seems to say to Friend hold my beer' I'll show you how to really fuck something up.

How he couldn't see the incident with Saiss, the fact we had no Central striker to occupy their CB's and worse still think Hwang is the answer to anything at all in that situation, is beyond me.

Dendoncker was a passenger on the second half, ambling around at half speed with seemingly no direction or inclination to win the ball or stop Leeds controlling the ball

And to add to the indignity of it all the Leeds players sprinting across the pitch and Friend doing the square root of fuck all.

It's so infuriating with Bruno, he gets the first half as right as you could but under any sort of pressure he crumbles.

Oh yeah, their free kick for the winner. The lino was two yards away. Didn't give it. Aces.

Again though, Boly just has to clear it. Really poor.

I've just seen the second yellow. I agree with Mark, normally the second to get there gets a yellow in those situations. Now obviously there isn't any malice and a referee who understands the game lets it go particularly when it's a second yellow, but we don't have those in England any more.
It is the aggressive intent by their keeper that some posters are ignoring. Raul was hardly out of control - the keeper was.

And you're wrong, there's plenty of instances where the player winning the ball gets booked or sent off. Pogba did against Liverpool this season.

It's just shit refereeing.

The more I think about it, the more tonight convinces me not to renew. I'm still genuinely raging, and I'm not sure parking £700 in the Molineux coffers to feel like that every two weeks is a good use of my sparse funds.

And you are ignoring the laws, the keeper didn't run into Raul, he ran into him. I'm not saying it should have been a yellow it's an awful decision, but in the colour by numbers school of English refereeing I can see why it was given

My take on a shit evening

Terrible performance from the ref. Never a red card

Had to be a foul by Raul IMO as keeper get to the ball first - still never a booking mind

Red card factors into us loosing, but we didn’t lose the game because of Friend

We lost due to inability to put Leeds away first half, the stupid red card, then a 2 minute period of utter madness to concede those two goals

Felt Lage should’ve changed it earlier, but the fact of a brain fart by RAN and Saiss aren’t his fault

Trincao a positive tonight

Ayling can stick that Robbie Keane celebration up his arse

No conspiracy against wolves. Naturally the ‘sky 6’ tend to get more rub of the green through the season but this one’s just a shit decision IMO

To top it off, I overcooked my chicken breast and it was dry as fuck!

I see you have failed to like any of my posts critical of the referee. How strange. :)

Connor, Bruno & myself disagree.

What the fuck is a Hwang btw. Why are we paying money for him.

Trincao actually tried today and allowed his talent to show but also helped that he was against a championship team who just leave gaps everywhere. If Hwang is £12m then Trincao is a bargain at £25m after one good game.

No he didn't the keeper slid out of control and collected Raul

Also, a few posts saying ‘we win that with silva tonight’, I’m not sure that’s fair and it’s just a total guess. Thought Raul minus his miss was quite effective, battled hard and linked well. I like silva and think their is a player there, but to say he plays and we win is madness. As who knows.

That being said, I hope Bruno actually starts him whilst Raul is suspended

Hwang was garbo when he came on.

I called him a Korean Guy Whittingham a few months ago but I think I oversold him. Shite.

I'm not ignoring anything, two players run head long for a loose ball. Whichever one gets to it first is likely to be fouled, Meisler has gone for a wilder attempt at the ball than Jimenez's tentative prod at it but him getting to the ball is ultimately was decides it for the ref in my opinion.

If he'd slide across and his follow through plants his studs half way up Jimenez's leg then the excessive force thing probably comes into question but I think the largely body to body impact blurs the lines enough in his favour. So you end up with a keeper winning the ball, striker slightly late and they clatter together, ends up as a foul against the striker but then the booking is probably on the harsh side.
A lot of people will disagree with you but you obviously believe your point of view.

With respect I think you are delusional. Sa has made those type of challenges on countless occasions this season. It's NOT a yellow it's NOT a red, but the keeper didn't do anything wrong

As soon as you leave your feet you are out of control, keeper or not.
