Wolves 2-3 Leeds: Verdict Thread

Guess we will wait forever for some on this forum to admit they were wrong. Not one pundit, to my knowledge, has suggested it was anything worse than a collision.
You carry on building your straw man Worzel. On a positive note for your brand, I do now know who you are so there's that

Of course it was, his straw man is this bit
"Guess we will wait forever for some on this forum to admit they were wrong". At the absolute best that's Mark and I'd say he caveated what he said

Yeah. Not really sure what that is all about.
Lots of people slagging Raul off as an idiot (at best) for getting sent off, when the decision was actually a farce, I guess would be where he is heading with that

I didn't read the matchday thread. That wasn't on the verdict thread though.

All I can add is how it looked to me in the ground, which was that Raul was in the clear, and Meslier flew in like a lunatic because he had to, got a touch on the ball, but cleaned Raul out. At best a collision, at worst dangerous play and trouble for Meslier. I never expected a red card for Raul. It was a staggering decision.

However, we should definitely have reacted better. We fell apart. And Moutinho was more than a bit lucky for his challenge before their second.

I didn't particularly notice the Moutinho tackle at the time, other than a challnege that left Dallas on the floor. After seeing it subsequently I do wonder whether without the first red that gets looked at differently by VAR

Moutinho totally lost his head after the red card. The challenge on Dallas, the offside that was played on where he got a knock (so annoying) and his reaction to that, and then right at the end he had a little kick at some one too.

A real shame, because if there was one player you would think would have the experience to not lose his way, it'd be him.

I said at the time it was an awful tackle by mout. But all eyes were on the Raul situ.

Personally don’t think the keeper does anything wrong, nor Raul. It’s a collision. That’s it

I was waiting till I calmed down till I posted, but it looks like I may be waiting forever.

Raul decision was dreadful, just a random interpretation of events by someone who didn’t really see what happened. In thcases if they are determined to act then we are going to get these decisions from time to time.

what I really hate is that the unconscious and conscious bias towards big 6 and flavours of the month like Leeds means that when they are making their arbitrary decisions then we get less than our fair share. Pretty appalling for a commercial business to hoping than an official doesn’t make a biased decision that could cost them millions.

that said, Bruno does pretty much anything other than what he did and we win that game.

good job the season was over after the palace game.

I agree with a lot of your post, but not the bit above. We’re 2 points behind West Ham. Finish above them & it’s extremely likely we’ll have some sort of European football next season - which I think almost all of us would have taken at the start of the season. There’s still loads to play for.

Makes the capitulation against Leeds more frustrating, because if we’d held on there, it would have been in our own hands at this point.

It almost certainly is still in our hands as if we win all our games - we won’t - we’ll get 7th.

Other than the twice he's been sent off, he's been booked 5 times this season, so you're clearly wrong with this idea that he can't handle a booking without being sent off.

Just imagine how ridiculous it would have been to sub him off after the booking!? Good lord!

His sending off at City was ridiculous, he was fully to blame.

Last night, no, and you are talking with the benefit of hindsight as an expert, which ironically makes you look daft.
Not that you'll believe me, of course, but I said it at the time of his booking, to the folk watching the game with me, that he should be pulled off. But don't let that little bit of detail worry you.

He almost did exactly the same as against City after his first yellow Vs Leeds. Tried to stop them playing a quick FK.

Could you explain please. Who am I? If you really want know or think you know that is fine with me. I have supported Wolves since I was a boy, have been going to matches for 55 years, have two sons who are avid Wolves supporters. That is me.
