Aston Villa 3-1 Wolves: Verdict Thread

It would require a lot of tweaks to support, but on paper I’d be quite taken with Hwang and Cunha staying “near the hashes” (think dual #10s, kinda) with Jørgen as the focal point between them.

What we’d do for width at that point would be a major concern.

Re: creative players behind him, that’s sort of true, but our setup now is built around individual moments much more often than composed ones, IMV. So whilst you’re not wrong I don’t think that’s a failing on Jørgen’s part, not yet.
Hwang can't do that role, not got anywhere near enough ability.

Hwang is fortunate to even be making the bench as it stands, he has been appalling.
He has but he's never been any good out wide. It's through the middle where his strengths lie.

Can I blacklist all Hwang posts?

Surprised SJ hasn't got more criticism for the 2nd and 3rd goals.

I think he should come for the cross on the 2nd, and on the 3rd he neither comes or stays and makes it so easy.

Sa would (rightly) have been criticised.

Yeah, they're not great. He's not a great keeper though.

The issue with Sa (who I doubt will ever play for Wolves again) was that his errors were outright comical. He'd go from looking amazing to someone you wouldn't have in a parks team.

I think SJ looks like a parks keeper for the 3rd. His decision making...

I don't think it was a great challenge. Not particularly malicious but he definitely left a bit on him.
Yeah and then in a Haaland on Keane type moment he stands over him and shouts at him...

Wouldn't surprise me if there is a similar attempt at revenge one day either.
