Wolves 1-1 Everton: Verdict Thread

If we'd signed him in the Summer he'd have been a bombscare with the GON high line uber press we played for the first 6 weeks or so. It's why on the one hand I think he was stuffed up by not getting the centre half he wanted but on the other I don't think he'd have known what to do with him if he had one
Absolutely. I can't think of a single player that has been heavily involved under both managers who doesn't look streets better under VP than GO.

Toti is a decent player, ideal to have in a bottom half squad. Having him as 1 of only 2 serviceable CH options was the issue.
Frankly, I think the issue was that he was being coached by a fucking idiot.

We'll have that. So little quality going forward without Cunha so as Mick once said, every point is a prisoner. Definitely didn't deserve to lose and with Ipswich getting nothing, we're up on the deal. Are they going to make up 7 points on us in 10 games, I would say no, especially if we don't lose at Portman Road.

André was fantastic, not much else to shout about, Sa made a save I would expect him to make from Beto but it needed making. Strand Larsen played like a shit Havard Flo for most of the game and is starting to become a concern. Terrible pass by Agbadou on the goal but he was good otherwise, absolute crap from Doherty on the goal but otherwise that's as good as you get from him, Toti was decent. Munetsi is a weird player, Sarabia did alright when he came on without making it count.

It's no badge of honour to finish 17th but we should.
Agree with most of that.
Weird take on Doc (as expected) starts every game, rightly so. Defence has been fairly solid with that back three.
Hope the Munetsi goal gives him some confidence, doubt that will be enough though.
Sarabia too good for our lot, different level. Sort of player you have to carry, but worth his weight in a good side.
Six points clear of the bottom three. We're not good but we are better than them.

Interested to know how it's a weird take on Doherty.

Backs off miles, gets nowhere near his man, does nothing then flinches out of the way to deflect it in. Abysmal.

He was alright to a point before and after that. In the wider sense he is a fucking appalling option for a Premier League club in 2025 to the point that no one else would sign him for free. They didn't in 2023 so they wouldn't now.

I enjoyed the game, second half especially, there was plenty of effort and intensity, and both sides wanted to win. We were better overall but it's that lack of creativity that's going to hold us back.

A couple didn't cover themselves in glory for the goal, but other than that were more solid looking as the game went on.

We all know the longer term issues we've got but you'd think in Vitor that if he's given a bit of help in the market he can get us ten points clear of the drop and never really in trouble.

Andre was excellent, a top class performance. I guess 6 or 7 for everybody else

Thankfully he was on the pitch today otherwise we'd have lost 0-1. None of our other players would have made that run and thusly be able to have scored.

100%, our off the ball movement is terrible, I like that he busts a guy and just wants to score goals. But like Hwang, if all you're contributing is hard work (and bags of it) then the goals really need to be in the 8-10 a season space, and with a habit of being clutch moments.

Doc's been sound in the central back three since Agbadou was signed and Toti came back from injury, that's why the manager keeps picking him.
Was marking two players on the goal, because Semedo had been sold by Agbadou's bad pass/JSL's failure to win the ball from that bad pass, he did his best to close down on the goal but the intervention of Andre and 'double deflection?' was unfortunate. Otherwise had a faultless performance.
Weird.
As a club, a team or a player you are as good as your last match imo.
