The Definitive TWF Worst Wolves XI Thread

Ray Hankin has to be in the list. By far the worst forward ever in the Wolves team.

Probably, but I never saw him. As. Said, the 80s are exempt. I reckon I could have got a game then!

I cannot see any reason why players from the dark days should not be included.

Fine that's your call. My feeling is the club were on such a downward spiral at that time they would sign pretty much anyone who cost very little and could kick a ball, the latter of those choices being optional! So whilst I accept they were by and large the worst wolves players ever, I can't include them as it was not their fault.

Same for me. Most of those players were free and no hopers dragged in to *do a job. I'm much more bothered about players with huge reputations (or some reputation) who we paid real, actual money for and who ended up being absolutely rank

What was the name of the South African striker Taylor signed in 1995?

Mark Williams?

Worst first touch in a Wolves shirt you will EVER see :icon_lol:

Yes he was pretty dreadful, then he went and AFCON for SA.

Exactly and my 6 reflects that for the strikers. We paid in fees wages etc OTT for those on my list for little or nil return.

Robert Taylor will top of my list by a country mile.

Darron Gibson - 25
Tongo Doumbia - 17

Six picks for the blunt end of our team at centre forward - do your worst. As our scouts have done for big chunks of the last 30 years.

Robert Taylor
Freddy Eastwood
Leon Clarke
Frank Nouble
Mike Small
Steve Claridge

Robert Taylor
Freddy Eastwood
Adam Proudlock
Grant Holt
Yannick Sagbo
Mike Small

Proudlock's on there for the utter waste of talent, shit attitude and generally being an utter twat. I could have put another 12 sacks of absolute shite on that list.

Tomasz Frankowski
Stefan Maierhoffer
Leon Clarke
Henri Camara
Marcus Bent
Frank Nouble

Eastwood - All the hype, load of shite.
Leon - When he first appeared he looked good. Had some fight in him and made up for his limited ability via that. Soon lost that fight though and stole a wage at Wolves (twice)
Small - Will never forget him standing about 40 yards offside at Grimsby calling for the ball
Paskin
McLoughlin
Taylor

Tomasz Frankowski
Robert Taylor
Marlon Harewood
Steve Claridge
Freddie Eastwood
Jake Cassidy

Small - Will never forget him standing about 40 yards offside at Grimsby calling for the ball
But that goal at Sunderland. Wow..
