Zenga

i think most agree that the 2 areas we need better quality is CB & GK.
I think had Williamson been fit this season, our defensive record would have seen us into the top 4

I would argue that with the exception of the two recent mistakes, he's been the most consistent form and fitness-wise.
I agree. He's also a good leader. I've said several times that I don't understand why some people are so eager to criticise him.

If i'm honest I thought we'd be higher up the league than we are.

I don't think we should be sacking managers before they've even had chance to bed in but I do wonder if Zenga is the right man for the job.

Personally, I think he'll get until Christmas and if we haven't improved he'll get the boot and it would be hard to disagree if that happens.

I don't think we'll get promoted this season but will next.

In what way is he a good leader? I'm not eager to criticise him but he is not a very good CB for the level we aspire to. Unfortunately we don't currently have anyone as experienced or clearly a better player, so while he is fit he will play. Shouting and pointing AFTER a goal is scored against us is not good leadership IMO.

We need leaders around the pitch and it is an area we are poor in. Who leads the midfield? Who helps direct the play, esp. up front?
This is why we sometimes look as though we don't have a plan.

It may well be that Zenga has a plan for the team but no-one on the pitch to ensure it's carried out. Of course that could be his own fault as he is the man at the helm. I feel that it would be fair to give him one transfer window, the one in January, to see if he has the problems highlighted and hopefully sorted, although that's never easy at that time of year.

And when we win at the weekend you lot will think Zenga is the man again. In patches we have been excellent and the football has been a galaxy away from that crap last season. This is a results business but trying to settle a massive clusterfuck of foreign players into a team and get results straight away is not easy. I agree that the new owners will be more trigger happy however I am not sure that is a good thing, if we arent in and around the playoffs at Christmas time then I could see him getting the boot.

I think (clutching at straws) that the Prince on the wing thing is more of a defensive thing, so he can drop and support rather than being an out and out winger or wing forward. That said we have seen it twice and it doesn't work. Time for Edwards to be dropped and Cav to come in.

I think we have a good run of fixtures now and we need to start consistently picking up points, I dont see any reason why that cant happen.

I can assure you that even if we win 4-0 on Saturday I won't be sold on Zenga. It might start heading in that direction if we get 10+ points from the next four games.

I've seen us play well in individual games (well, halves of games mostly) but I've seen little to suggest we can do it regularly enough under him. Unless everything's going our way we're quite an easy team to play against.

We were horrible to watch last season, we are much better this year but on its own that isn't enough.

Clearly it's better to be good to watch and finish 16th than be fucking awful to watch and finish 16th. But it's still 16th and it's nowhere near good enough

Stoke and Albion fans might have something to say about that Saturday Boy.

My feeling on this, and it has been for a while, that the plan is to have Zenga get us promoted, say 'cheerio and thanks for your hard work' and then bring in Villas Boas.

I always got the feeling that he is just a temporary stop gap, after Lopetegui fell through, until someone more suitable became available.

I think so too. I also think that Villas Boas would be the target. We need to be doing rather better than this to attract him though, I would imagine.

I am not usually one to question a managerial appointment, but it is clear that this just isn't working. A third of the way through the season and Wolves are 18th, just four points above the relegation places.

It gives me no pleasure to say this, but I think Zenga needs to go. Get a replacement in before another season is wasted.

Villas Boas would be nice, dont think he will come here though

WM say Marco Silva - Portuguese. Never heard of him

Carl Robinson, maybe.

We won't appoint someone fresh out of MLS.

There's no emotional connection either because he was a shit footballer.

I reckon we'll go for Marco Silva.

Didn't we try for Silva (and didn't he knock us back) before Walter rocked up or was that just another of the bollocks rumours doing the rounds after the Fosun takeover?

He had some sort of personal problem pre - season apparently. He's done well at previous clubs. Zenga is surely in trouble though.
