Almost threw another one away after not putting the game out of sight earlier. Got the result though in the end and did the double over them. Ref had a horror second half. Absolute joke shop performance.

Jonny was great. MOTM. Silva runner up.

Up to 7th now until West Ham play.

Decent gap between us in 7th and Villa in 9th now, got the issue with Leicester having so many games in hand but I'd always rather than the points than the potential points.

Winning whilst missing key players against another top half side is excellent as an end result, regardless of issues within the game to look to do better.

Professional performance from all involved, bit more composure in front of goal and we'd have been out of site first half, gladly not the mullering predicted by some and sympathies for the money TT lost on Betfred :)

ps. Have you ever noticed if it 'kicks off', Donks always front and centre ?

Fabio everything we’ve wanted/expected Raul to be this season, and for me it’s his shirt to lose now (although Raul will obviously be straight back in when available). I thought Fabio held the ball up, brought others in to play, ran the channels, pressed & could/should have scored. He’s gained a yard or two of pace since he first signed and definitely looks stronger. Good on him for all his hard work & patience. Definitely happy with him being in the team. MOTM.

Jonny’s finish was quality.

Sa was a tad unlucky with the penalty but when there’s contact like that I always feel it’s going to be given, regardless of who instigated it (Watkins did). We should have been out of sight by that point, but I have to say, Sa made 3/4 big saves today, so let’s not go in hard on him for the pen, please.

Three hard fought points and puts us above West Ham. Well done to all involved.

But for the Leeds anomoly, that would have been 4 wins in a row for the second time this season.

Fabio was superb, kept their defence busy all 90. Really good ball retention, passing. Superb

What kin penalty?????
Fabio had a cracker, should have been four up at half time.
Ref of two halves decent first half, totally cack second half. Everyone played well, but frankly I have my doubts over Chang.
Well played Bruno!

Wasn't a bad performance overall.

Front three worked well even though the wide forwards made too many poor choices which ultimately lead to the game being far tighter at the end than it should've been.

Didn't miss Neves at all, midfield did their jobs fine for the most part.

Watkins got too much his way in the second half though, ghosted off the back of Coady far too easily for the two one on ones and the penalty, really exposed the lack of pace at the centre of Wolves' back three on those occasions. Strangely he mugged Jonny off twice too, the one down the channel not longer after Jonny had been booked which drew a really clumsy challenge that could've easily been a yellow card on another day and then another later on when Jonny got too tight and spun far too easily but thankfully Dendoncker covered across and bailed him out that time.

Where to start with that? Well, unfortunately I'm going to start with the ref. Yet another officiating performance that is a stain on the PL. Total cunt. Gave a free kick every time a Villa player fell over and waved play on every time one of ours was fouled. He was desperate to help them get back into the game and couldn't wait to give a soft penalty. Personally, I'd sack every single PL referee and bring in referees from abroad, they're all better than our total clowns. I can't decide if it's incompetence or corruption, probably a combination of the two.

Anyway, onto the game. We were the better team. No question, we looked far more threatening and even when they had spells controlling possession they barely did anything with it. Our front 3 (5 if you count Hwang and Neto) always looked a threat and in Fabio had probably the best attacking player on the pitch today. He was excellent and really deserved a goal. Moutinho was superb and for all I'm critical of him, Donk was excellent today, maybe his best performance in a Wolves shirt. Sa also came up big when he was needed, the penalty was a joke and really should have been dealt with by Coady who didn't have his best game. MOTM Fabio.

After sharing an office for nearly twenty years with a Villa STH, I didn't think I could despise them more, until we put that ball out to let Pod (I think) to get treatment ! Then my hate ratchet up another ten percent
