The agenda against Adama is bizarre.

It's only bizarre if you look at it in the binary way you have above. Our 3rd forward in the current formation needs to score goals. We can't afford to have one who doesn't, that includes Trincao and Adama. Trincao is fortunate that his misses which I agree were both sitters happened in games we won, but in both those games his movement and fluidity brought the best out of others. I don't see that with Adama, some of that is on him some on the rest of the team/manager who give it to him and hope for the best.

I mean, I defended Adama at the time and said that if he continued getting those chances the goals would come… and he didn’t, so he’s been in and out of the team since really hasn’t he.

trincao’s finishing has been woeful too (though he did get a goal in the cup), but he looks more likely to be a consistent goal threat, and his movement inbetween the lines to receive and turn forwards he does consistently, whereas its always (frustratingly) been a challenge to get Adama to do that.

I don't feel that Trincao had a particularly good game against Newcastle, personally, but i understand your point even if i don't agree with it, however i'm sure that Traore will be back starting games very soon anyway.

Moutinho created the first against Leicester and Neves for his 1v1 against Spurs.

It was his pace and power that created his second fluffed chance against Leicester. Raul didn't fluff his lines against Soton doing the same thing.

Hwang is plenty quick enough to breeze past Coyuncu and Vestegaard and it was the weight of the ball from Moutinho that was the top class part.

Na not having that, it was pure pace that got him ahead of their defenders, Hwang is fast, but not that fast.

And it's not in the slightest bit "laughable", you admit yourself that he created the other chance against Leicester, so you instantly contradict yourself, then there is the chance against Villa where he ran 50 yards beating 4 or 5 players to create a chance for himself, still laughable? There was a game where he had a shot deflected onto the bar too, against Brentford was it? Still laughable?

Of the chances Traore has missed, the majority of them were made by himself, doesn't make it any less frustrating, but it does mean he is less culpable than when the ball is presented on a plate like it has been for Trincao.

I was encouraged by the front three the other day, but it's only one game, so there's some serious wishful thinking (by those who just want Adama gone) and extrapolation masquerading as self-evidence going on.

Podence was the nailed on starter the other week, now it's Trincao...

Truth is, they all have their flaws (including Hwang, although his knack for a goal puts him ahead of the rest on the teamsheet) and their part to play, including Adama.

It's not so much i "love" Adama, i certainly enjoy the thrill he give when he picks up the ball and breezes past people, but i wish he could do what he did for Dendoncker last season against West Ham far more often!

He is both the most exciting and frustrating player i think I've ever known at Wolves.

I think the way he plays is as much down to the coaching as down to him, as many have acknowledged, he looked good from the left at the start of the season, but Bruno hasn't played him there since!

The trouble is we got 6 points against Everton and Newcastle and zero against the others so Adamas misses cost us points. It sticks in the human mind for longer. Traore has a part to play but the squad needs expanding to get a set up better suited to the talents of him and to some extent , Trincao.

I seem to be on middle ground with this , which for this Forum is saying something!

Trincao should have scored against United, we lost that game, it was very good defending from AWB, but it was still a net that was only guarded by an outfield player.
