Too young, I played Morrowind after Oblivion, it was fun but playing it after Oblivion it's always going to disappoint. The same would be true if I now went back to Oblivion.

Morrowind is much more in depth than Oblivion and is often considered the better game. With the HD mod it looks as good as Oblivion as well now. I got Sykrim at the weekend and only sunk about 7 hours into so far. Finished the Golden Claw quest at 5am this morning. Going to head back into town, sell some stuff and do some crafting, book reading for a while.

Was also playing the beta of SWTOR over the last couple of weekends, really enjoying it so far. I'm more into sanbox gameplay with my MMORPGS but the storylines in TOR make up it. If your undecided and uncommited give the Sith Inquisitor a try, that's a great storyline, as is smuggler on the Republic side. I've pre-ordered and will be playing from the 15th. Can't wait.

As a moderate Star Wars fan and a massive KOTOR fan I'm really interested in this game. Unfortunately having bought Skyrim, ordered the iPhone 4s and being an all-round poor student I don't know if I can afford to buy it. However if it really is awesome I WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN.

Skyrim has been ordered.

You have done well, my apprentice.

KOTOR was absolutely ace. That should have been made into a film. One of the best plot twists ever.

Skyrim is under £25 at Gamestation at the moment. Get it whilst you still can at that price!

With reference to the above posts......

Morrowind

Pros:-

Good caves for looting
More interesting story line
More skills and weapons
More quests
Levitation
Better Story
Vast environment
Great soundtrack
More skill choices

Cons:-

Depressing, empty landscape
Lifeless towns
Boring capital city.
A lot of tedious quests
Poor AI
No compass. (Some quests are really vague about where to go.)
Cliffracers
Morrowind is more of an RPG than an action game, so if you can't hit an enemy that is because your weapon skill and/or agility are to low/
Mainly text speech.
The game was never terribly accessible or instantly enthralling and it really hasn't aged well

Oblivion:

Pros:-

Better combat system
Better magic system
More lively towns
Interesting quests
Sneaking and learning NPC’s schedules
Horses
Better graphics
Better weather effects
Fast travel
Improved gameplay
Shivering Isle and Knights of the Nine DLC
Being able to join all the guilds!

Cons:-

Levelled monsters and loot
Guards with ESP!
The Lock Picking
The ‘getting somebody to like you’ mini game.
Poor main quest.

Oblivion was my favourite game ever...until....

Skyrim

I can't really comment too much on Skyrim because despite having now played for 65 hours, I have only completed The Companions quest line and I've only visited three towns and killed two dragons.

I think it is better than Oblivion and I can confidently predict it will be my top game for a long time. For me, it does everything right. I can pick it up for 15 minutes and explore a cave or 30 minutes and complete a quest line.
Other times I play for a couple of hours and really haven't done anything but explore.
With Infinite quests, DLC and Mods, this game could be the last one I ever purchase!

HW, r u gonna "do" Aela? ;)

I started the Companions but wasn't sure about their underforge requirements if you know what I mean.

Thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately, I am skinter than Skinty McSkint from Skintville at the moment and am unlikely to receive payment on some invoices until the end of next week... Bugger.

Keep checking HotUKDeals mate - maybe somewhere else will drop their prices? That's happened with Uncharted 3.

She is my 'companion' at the moment and I know she wants me.
I wouldn't mind a nice, attractive khajiit though.......

Walked into Gamestation in Brum this morning - not another soul in the shop. Loads of copies of Skyrim on multiple formats for £22.49.

Bought one - jobs a good 'un.

[Teacherly voice] Langdale, as I know you were 'Skyrimming' for a good while last night I expect an early evaluation report forthwith...No excuses.
