Loan Watch 2021-22

Until 2023. We bizarrely extended it a year before he went to GHZ.

If at all possible I'd like us to jettison Trincao and bring mgw into the squad
Unlikely given it seems he is going to be tied up in the Traore deal. I really like what I see from Trincao, I think he is going to be a Vitinha style player who hits a huge development uptake in the next year.

Either way, he needs to be in our squad next year. He's proven at champ level which means he has some value. I'd say he's got 2 seasons to prove he's PL level before we consider selling him.

Spiers was saying it’s far from done and the deals aren’t linked.

Now Neto is back, Hwang is signed permanently, Podence first choice. How many minutes is he getting from now on? If he’s not first choice by the end of the season (Hwang and Podence aren’t exactly world beaters), can you really be spending a massive sum of money on him? A £10m gamble on a smallish contract, but not £25m on a massive one.

Aye. Based on everything we've seen so far, he's a punt. But he's far from punt money, and is our highest earner. It's a no from me

I'd rather have Adama back and flog him with 12 months on his contract for £12-£15m than do a virtual swap for Trincao. I don't think that lack of workrate and ease with which he's knocked off the ball is something you are fixing and certainly not as your best paid player. I can see the potential, just don't think he's a PL player.

Not sure about workrate, he presses really well. He does bottle challenges though.

Doesn't try to win the ball back when he's lost it or track back when he's given it away
Don't think that's true at all.

Trincao does work back and takes up good positions. He needs to work on his bravery and strength and they can be fixed.

I wouldn't sign him unless Bruno has plans for him and with Neto, Pod and Hwang for 2 of the front 3 positions I don't see us signing him for that kind of money.

He has no pace, he has zero strength despite being about 6ft 2, his right foot is for standing on and his left foot isn’t exactly a wand. He’s a good dribbler and has decent touch, unless anyone is near him and they just disposses him. His decision making is terrible.

We already have a player in Podence who has no pace or strength but is actually two footed, has a better touch and probably makes better decisions!

Podence is rapid, what are we saying??

The biggest mark you could hold against Pod is his decision making. You don't have his ability and only one goal to your name if you're making the right choices more than the wrong ones.

Yeah, that one’s confused me. He definitely has pace 😂

Spiers reports whatever the club tell him.

I think it's pretty obvious what's happening between the lines. Even if he doesn't play another minute between now and June we'll still sign him.

Plus we need more than 3 players for 2 positions. MGW could fill one of those roles, but more likely is we sell him based on his Championship form in order to help pay Trincao's wages.

Well then it’s just a Mendes favour rather than a Wolves decision made to benefit the club

We could sign someone else… Ideally better than we already have, not worse.

Plus we have Chiquinho, who might be raw but is also a tenth of the fee and wages.

I'm not sure signing Trincao is a formality. We announced we were going to sign Hee Chan but I don't think there have been any such noises about Trincao.

That doesn't necessarily invalidate what he says, though.

nb4 someone quotes this saying "his shite journalism invalidates what he says".

It’s not just the 25m with trincao, it’s the monster wages he’d be on.

Can see he’s got potential, but same argument as silva for me. We aren’t a club that is in a position to spend 25m on potential.

With Neto back, hwang Signed and Podence being in favour I don’t see him getting an awful lot of game time?

Wouldn’t be suprised to see us go in next year with winger/inside forward options as pod, hwang, Neto, chiquito. We don’t need him, personally, especially at that price and wage.

Striker, centre half and centre mid are far more of a priority
