Loan Watch 2024/2025

This mid-week:

Lonwijk played in a 2-1 defeat at Wigan. Gave the ball away to start the move for the second goal conceded.
Jimmy Storer kept another clean sheet (7 in 10) in a goalless draw at Oxford City.

On as sub: Another goal for Holman, however it came in yet another defeat, this time 3-1 at Aldershot. He came on afte 39 minutes and in the second half capitalised on a defender's mistake to run through on goal and slot past the keeper. Sutherland also came on for the last few minutes.
Holman's goal from around 2:40
Lembikisa came on for the last 10 or so minutes of Barnsley's 2-1 win at Northampton.
Joe Hodge played the last half an hour of Huddersfield's defeat, while Chirewa came on after 75 minutes and had a decent left-footed shot on goal that went just wide.

Not in squad: Kaleta

From the weekend:

Nigel Lonwijk, Joe Hodge and Tawanda Chirewa- Huddersfield, League One
A first goal for Lonwijk and the winner in a 2-1 victory at Stevenage. Did well to lose his man on a corner and head home from close range: just as well, as he got turned 40 yards out for the Stevenage goal and proceeded to just kick the ball off the forward who smashed it home. He and Hodge played the full game, Chirewa an hour.

Goal around 3:30:

Ki-Jana Hoever - Auxerre, Ligue 1
Played 82 minutes of a 1-0 loss at home to Strasbourg. Should have too much to get dragged into a relegation fight but stranger things have happened.

Jimmy Storer - Chester City, National League North
No clean sheet this time and 2 points dropped in a 1-1 draw at home to fourth-bottom Needham Market. Let down by poor defending for the goal, did well to get to the initial shot but couldn't get to the rebound.

Lewys Benjamin - Stourbridge FC, Southern Premier League Central
Back in the the team for a 1-0 defeat at home to Spalding.

Josh Esen - Redditch United, Southern Premier League Central
Played the full game of a goaless draw at home to Royston Town.

Stan Amos and Hayden Carson - Darlaston Town
Both played the full game in a 2-1 win at Corby Town. Amos picked up a groin strain that might put him out for a few games.

On as sub: Fabio Silva came on at HT in a 1-1 draw at Valladolid, as did Lembikisa for Barnsley in their 4-3 win at home to Lincoln.

Unused subs: Bueno, Chiquinho
Not in squad: Campbell, Ashworth, Kaleta.
No game: Holman, Sutherland

Mid-week roundup

Hugo Bueno played the full game for Feyenoord in their 2-0 defeat at home to Inter.

Lonwijk, Hodge and Chirewa started for Huddersfield in their 1-0 defeat at home to promotion rivals Wrexham. Lonwijk only made it to HT and Hodge played the full game. Chirewa played 72 minutes and looked dangerous, setting up a goal that was ruled out for offside and hitting a powerful shot just wide.

Fletcher Holman played 82 minutes of Solihull's 1-1 draw at home to Sutton United.

Josh Esen played the full game of Redditch's 2-0 defeat at Stamford AFC

Lewys Benjamin played in the Walsall Senior Cup semi in which Stourbridge lost to Coleshill on penalties

Lembikisa came on after 62 minutes of Barnsley's 1-0 defeat at Charlton

Not in squad: Campbell, Sutherland

Huddersfield have sacked Mike Duff, so we'll see what that means for our three loanees (three loanees, Jeremy, three? That's insane)

Weekend round-up:

Fabio Silva - Las Palmas, La Liga
Played the full game in a 1-0 defeat at Betis.

Joe Hodge and Tawanda Chirewa- Huddersfield, League One
Hodge and Chirewa played 68 and 57 minutes respectively. Hodge had a shot from the edge of the box that went just wide.

Ki-Jana Hoever - Auxerre, Ligue 1
Played 80 minutes of a 2-0 win at Reims. Got done with ease at RB and Reims should have scored from the resulting cross. Got forward well though and almost picked up an assist.

Jimmy Storer - Chester City, National League North
Played in a 3-2 defeat at Chorley.

Lewys Benjamin - Stourbridge FC, Southern Premier League Central
Kept his first clean sheet and made a string of fine saves in a 2-0 win at Stratford Town.

Played the full game in a 1-0 defeat at Alvechurch.

Stan Amos - Darlaston TownL
Lost 2-1 at home to Boldmere St Michaels

Unused subs: Chiquinho, Lembikisa
Not in squad: Lonwijk, Ashworth
No game: Bueno, Kaleta

Mid-week round-up

Hugo Bueno played the full game at Inter in Feyenoord's 2-1 second leg CL defeat there. Had a 25-yard effort well saved by the keeper.

Chem Campbell played 90 minutes in a 2-0 win at home to Wrexham. Won a header from a GK (a-la Doc 2019) that found his team mate who got fouled for the penalty that was the opener.

Jimmy Storer played in a 3-1 win at home to Warrington Town as Chester carried on their stint in the top spot.

Not in squad: Ashworth

From the weekend:

Fabio Silva - Las Palmas, La Liga
Played the full game in a 2-2 draw at home to Alaves, scored a last-minute penalty then LP went on to score a second to rescue an unlikely point

Pen around the 2:30 mark:

Hugo Bueno - Feyenoord, Eredivisie
Played 67 minutes of Feyenoord's 6-2 win at Twente. Gave away a penalty for the first goal conceded.

Joe Hodge - Huddersfield, League One
Hodge played 75 minutes in a 5-1 win vs Crawley but wasn't involved in any of the goals. Hudds back in the play-off spots under interim boss Jon Worthington.

Chem Campbell - Reading, League One
Played 89 minutes of Reading's 1-1 draw at home to Stevenage. Had a decent effort well saved at the keeper's near post. That's no goal involvements for CC in 18 league games now, though.

Ki-Jana Hoever - Auxerre, Ligue 1
Played the full game in a 1-1 draw at Nice. Was outjumped for the Nice goal, a header from a corner.

Ethan Sutherland - Solihull, National League.
First league start in a 1-1 draw at Hartlepool. Played 87 minute - put in a fine left-footed cross from deep that resulted in a header well saved by the keeper.

Jimmy Storer - Chester City, National League North
Played and kept another clean sheet in a 1-0 win vs Leamington.

Lewys Benjamin - Stourbridge FC, Southern Premier League Central
Played in a 1-1 draw with Bishop Stortford

Josh Esen - Redditch United, Southern Premier League Central
Played two full games in three days. First a 1-1 draw with Bedford, then in a 2-0 Birmingham Cup defeat to Coventry Academy.

Stan Amos and Hayden Carson - Darlaston Town
Both played the full game in a 1-0 win vs Bedworth that keeps them in the play-off spots.

On as sub: Chirewa came on for the last half an hour of the Huddersfield game. Holman played the last 25 minutes of Solihull's draw.

Unused subs: Chiquinho, Lembikisa
Not in squad: Lonwijk, Ashworth, Kaleta.

From last weekend/mid-week

Fletcher Holman - Solihull Moors, National League
Played 55 minutes of a 3-0 home defeat to Yeovil, subbed off probably due to injury. Missed the mid-week game at Altrincham

Jimmy Storer - Chester City, National League North
Played in a 3-1 defeat to top-of-the-table Scunthorpe.

Josh Esen - Redditch United, Southern Premier League Central
Played an hour of a 1-0 defeat at Sudbury that increases the chances of a relegation battle for them.

Stan Amos and Hayden Carson - Darlaston Town
Both played full games in a 2-0 away defeat then a 2-0 win at Worcester City in which Carson got his first goal for the club, breaking through the defence and finishing smartly with his left foot. Darlaston still have an outside chance of the play-offs.

Goal around the 2 minute mark:

Not in squad: Lembikisa, Ashworth, Sutherland, Benjamin

In As Palmas have a good player perfect to Wolves: Moleiro (Mid 21 years, 2 seasson in first division). But have teams Like Liverpool want he..

He play mid offensive, its more assistant and playmaker, and work more on defense vs Cunha. But he scored this season 6 goals.

The playstyle of Molerio its like David Silva, he its good.

G McBurnie
A Silva

Doesn't exactly scream quality

Didn't a double take when I saw McBurnie. He has 13 Premier league goals, Silva unlikely to ever break that. I bet people didn't think we could find a new lower metric to measure Silva by, but feel like we have found it!
