Loan Watch 2024/2025

Unfortunately missed the goal as was making tea. He's played well up against Walker and now subbed off.

is that Alan Parry on comms? Thought he’d died.

Is it Ian Darke? I know he is on there but it sounds like him but also seems slightly different to his usual style.

Mid-week update,

Hugo Bueno played 75 minutes of Feyenoord's 1-1 draw at Milan that sent them through to the CL last 16. His assist for the goal was excellent and probably the highlight of his career so far.

Chirewa played 73 minutes of Huddersfield's 1-0 win at Shrewsbury. Hodge came on as one of the subs when TC came off.

Holman played 90 minutes of Solihull's 1-0 loss at Woking as their winless run continues. Sutherland made his debut in this game but only played until HT.

Weekend update:

Chem Campbell - Reading, League One
Played the full game in a goalless draw at home to Blues. Switched from right to left wing for the second half and got on the end of a cross which he could only head straight at the keeper.

Nigel Lonwijk and Tawanda Chirewa- Huddersfield, League One
NL made his comeback after 7 weeks out with 65 minutes in a 1-0 defeat at home to Peterborough. Subbed off for Joe Hodge.
Chirewa got subbed off at HT. He had one shot on goal that was deflected wide.

Fletcher Holman - Solihull Moors, National League
Another week, another defeat for the Moors but at least Holman got on the scoresheet to get a late consolation in a 3-1 loss at home to Gateshead. Tidy finish to be fair to him.

Goal from around 3:20

Ki-Jana Hoever - Auxerre, Ligue 1
Played 87 minutes of a 3-0 win at home vs Robert De Zerbi's Marseille.

Jimmy Storer - Chester City, National League North
Played in a 1-0 win at Farsley to help extend Chester's lead at the top and keep his sixth clean sheet in nine games.

Josh Esen - Redditch United, Southern Premier League Central
Played 75 minutes of a 2-1 defeat at Spalding on the right of a midfield three. Hit a volley that went just wide.

Stan Amos and Hayden Carson - Darlaston Town
Both played the full game in a 1-1 home draw.

On as sub: Joe Hodge played the last 25 minutes of Hudd's defeat. Lembikisa came on for the last half an hour of Barnsley's 1-0 win vs Rotherham. Benjamin came on in stoppage time to replace Stourbridge's keeper but still managed to concede a late third to make it a 3-1 defeat.

Unused sub: Bueno, Sutherland, Chiquinho
Not in squad: Silva, Ashworth, Kaleta.

Chiquinho seems to have hardly played this season.

He won't ever make it. We should've sold him in the summer for a few million when Sporting were interested but O'Neil wanted to have a look at him and now he'll end up going for very little or nothing at all.

Let' not be hasty, give him some more time

Should have been a good move for him too. His crossing seemed to be something that was a strength in his appearances here and Mallorca cross the ball more than pretty much every side in La Liga. Not worked though and don’t see where he goes from here.

Thing is, this thing about his amazing crossing is based on 2 or 3 examples early in his Wolves career in a very small sample size (he's only made 9 appearances for us, some of those off the bench). He's never done it anywhere else.

He had an ace pre-season at Stoke. Their fans went nuts about him...then he hit the wall, got stroppy and had a return to sender label attached to him
