Wolves Loan Watch 2025/2026

Delighted for him. Great bloke, had no luck at all for years on end and we've treated him like crap for no particular reason.
If we’re looking to shift Tolu on, do you think Sasa could be the readymade ‘big man’ replacement for next season or do you think that ship has sailed?

I can’t imagine he has much appetite for playing in the Championship and with his form over the last month or so, I guess we might actually get some sort of fee for him.

I think we have a huge amount of sunk costs that we won't be able to get rid of so any money in is going to be taken and taken readily.

LASK won't pay a lot for him though.

The mystery is why we sent him out on loan (again) and signed Tolu. If "fitness" was the barometer then Tolu spent his first three months here apparently unable to last longer than 20 minutes. Sasa is a far better footballer and we already had him. As far as I know he wasn't angling to leave, he would happily have stayed to get minutes in the PL.

Agree on all that. Another cracking decision to add to the list.

I’m just pleased to see him back playing, scoring and seemingly enjoying himself again.

The thought of being back in England will probably give him anxiety and have his knees aching. I can’t see him wanting to come back, I’m just pleased that he’s got himself fit enough to play at a decent level.

Someone on MM said earlier that Sasa doesn't want to come back, his wife wasn't happy here and they feel they were badly treated by the club

I’ll go on a limb and I’d have him starting next year if fit, but I’d also have another forward to go with Armstrong too. He’s a good player and has some form of record to speak of.

I do think he had to go and get minutes though and think it was beneficial for no one for him to be here. You can’t link it to the Tolu signing as that’s just dreadful recruitment in harmony with the others by Vitor, his mate and his fucking list. Recruitment that just makes no sense.

I’m not having that he’s “injury prone”. He’s just had bad luck. I don’t necessarily see him being someone you can’t rely on who keeps getting soft tissue injuries.

Hes the best striker we own and his value on the pitch is far bigger than a nominal transfer fee we’d get (plus we’d have to subsidise wages), so I’d have him in preseason with the intention of him starting.

He gave an interview basically saying that the PL wasn't a good league to return from his type of injury in because of the physicality and intensity so on that front at least he was angling to leave.

Who knows how he feels now after a full season where he seems to have excelled and proven his fitness.

I'd love him back, I think he'd be the most talented footballer in the squad straight away, even before you get into the obvious physical advantages he gives you.

I think the strangest thing about his time at Wolves was that stage where he was fit under O'Neil, was scoring/assisting every time he came on and then all of a sudden went 2 or 3 months without even a sub appearance.

He's never accused the Wolves medical team but holy shit they should all lose their practising license for letting him back on the pitch with an ACL (he played until HT iirc?). I have never heard of that happening before.

An ACL in each knee, even!

That happened to my Dad; tore his during practice and the university doctors just gave him an ice pack and said jog on. Leg totally gave out on him the next practice session.

That was circa 1977 in Alabama, so…..

Another game of FerLo vs Elche.

Win 3-1 and he continue playing the same roleplay of Gomes (more back).

On celta have player on defensive midfield injured (M. Roman y Vecino), and are making good games.

+1000 mins on Celta on mid seasson in 2 competitions.

I don’t care.

Keep him.

For free.

I like Sasa so it'd be weird having him back. I've got so used to hating our players.
He looked like a real threat against West Ham in EFL Cup. I hope he sticks about for our Championship Campaign

Djiga actually playing alright today against Hearts

He looks pretty good, though Hearts have been shite

Hearts are shite. It's a proper 'Greece 04' run that they're on this season.

Started this second half well though.

It really wouldn’t surprise me to see Djiga back here and part of our squad next season.

Not because I think he’s brilliant - it’s just the sort of thing I can see us doing because it’s the easy option.
