Loan Watch 2019-2020

Look forward to seeing Giles v Birmingham in the replay... They play some nice football.

Don't think he'll be eligible, you have to have been registered for the original tie

Sounds like Norris has had a mare. Ipswich fans really aren't keen...

Sounds like Will Norris has had a proper mare for the second Peterborough goal.

Watt scores for Carlisle

He's contracted to 2021 (with probably an option in our favour on top of that)

He is having an Ikeme!! (ask Stockport fans about their feelings on him, they proper hated him)

Mistakes happen, even the best in the Prem and Ben Foster have their moments like that (Rui got away with one v Leicester last season for example). Poor lad has fallen from the heady days of not conceding goals for us in the Cup games and folk demanding he replaced Ruddy.

Ruí got away with one just last night that I'm surprised hasn't come up more.

Nah he knew where he was. Had that been on target he wouldn't have gone for the push down save

I think that's being mildly generous. Even with it not leading to a goal it's a really poor way to concede a corner.

Not that I think Ruí is shit, merely pointing out that truly excellent keepers still have those moments. Humans, innit.

Rui has made a few high profile howlers throughout his career, it's why he's not really rated as highly as he should be outside of Portugal and Wolverhampton. He's pretty much cut them completely out of his game though. Only big one this season was Everton and that was more Coady's fault really.

That was fully Coady's fault. So many things Coady got wrong on that and left Rui right in it.

Rui has let in a couple of shots he should probably save but in terms of major fucks (lets use Ruddy's goal conceded v Shrewsbury at Molineux as a measure of a fuck up) he hasn't had any like for us. His kicking is now at slighly better than Matt Murray levels compared to his Andy Lonergan with his feet on backwards level he showed last season.

From the weekend:

Will Norris - Ipswich Town, League One.

As mentioned, an absolute horror show from Will in a 4-1 defeat at home to Peterborough. First, he was guilty of a half-arsed dive for a pen which he could have got to, then he inexplicably whacked the ball off an incoming forward, who then tapped it in. Not too much he could have done about the other two, but the fans aren’t happy and his place must now be under serious threat.

Niall Ennis and Cameron John - Doncaster Rovers, League One.

Both got the full game at Fleetwood in a 2-1 defeat. Ennis got the goal, showing quick reactions to sweep home first-time, taking advantage of a ricochet off a defender.

Goal on 1:20:

Sadou Diallo - Accrington Stanley - League One.

Played 78 miniutes of a 2-1 win at home to AFC Wimbledon.

Connor Ronan - Blackpool, League One

Started at Oxford and had a shot from the edge of the area deflected into the keeper’s arms. Subbed after 71 minutes as his team lost 2-1.

Elliot Watt - Carlisle United, League Two.

Played the full game in a 2-2 draw at Mansfield and showed his worth to the team by scoring a chipped effort from long distance, which might have been a cross, before setting up the equaliser with a peach of a cross.

From 1:25 onwards for both goal and assist.

Austin Samuels - Kidderminster Harriers, National League North.

Started a 2-0 win at KIngs Lynn. Subbed after 71 minutes, had a couple of shots saved but played no part in the goals.

Patrick Cutrone - Fiorentina, Serie A.

Started at Juventus and was involved in a bright opening spell for the visitors but they couldn’t make the most of it as they eventually lost 3-0. Cutrone was subbed after 73 minutes.

Rafa Mir - SD Huesca, Spanish Segunda Division

Played the full game of a 3-1 defeat and scored a goal from a very tight angle after taking it past the keeper.

Roderick Miranda - Famalicao, Portuguese Primeira Liga

Played the full game in a 2-2 draw at Rio Ave.

On as sub: Leo Bonatini came on after an hour in a 2-0 defeat at Boavista.

Not in squad: Bennett, Sanderson, Giles, Matheson, Ashley-Seal, Johnson, Graham, Wang.

Both Cameron John and Niall Ennis played in unfamilar left-side positions last night in Donny's 3-0 win at Tranmere. John at LB and Ennis on the wing, who put in a fine cross for the second goal.

Sanderson and Giles were still outside their respective matchday squads; with Sam Ricketts having a moan at Wolves for not sending him back to Shrewsbury.

Ennis and John both on the bench for DRFC today. Luke Matheson starts for Rochdale
