Loan Watch 2019-2020

Austin Samuels has joined Kiddy for a relegation battle in the National League North.

Hmm thought he might be better than that level.

Rafa Mir has joined SD Huesca on an 18-month loan.

From this weekend:

Will Norris - Ipswich Town, League One.

Played in a 4-1 win at home to Accrington.

Niall Ennis - Doncaster Rovers, League One.

Played the full game of a 2-0 win at Bristol Rovers but wasn’t involved in either goal.

Elliot Watt - Carlisle United, League Two.

Started in front of the back four against Plymouth and made a positive start to the game with some nice passing and a crucial tackle as a forward was about to shoot. Played the full 90 minutes but ended up on the losing side - 3-0.

Leo Bonatini - Vitoria Guimaraes, Portuguese Primeira Liga

Played 74 minutes at Maritimo but couldn’t find the net before being subbed.

On as sub: Miranda came on for the last 15 minutes in a 1-0 win away, while Cutrone made his debut coming on for the last quarter of an hour in a 1-0 win over SPAL, almost scoring with a cheeky flick late on.

Unused sub: Giles, John, Diallo.

No game: Johnson, Ronan, Herc

Thanks for the updates. Samuels and Mir have been added to the OP, along with Cutrone (I know they're committed to buy but it'll be interesting to keep an eye on him).

Giles starts in the cup replay against Bristol City tonight.

Pretty sure Plymouth were at Carlisle, rather than the other way round, just for tidiness.

Got to love those local derbies...

Right you are, Pad!

Giles was subbed halfway through the second half but the Shrews got a last minute winner to bag a tie at home to Liverpool in the 4th round.

Will Norris kept a clean sheet, making a superb save in the process, in a 0-0 draw at Oxford.

Cutrone playing for Fiorentina against Atalanta, and scores after 11 mins..

Looks like we may have recalled Giles to cover Vinagre.

Did his hammy right at the end, no idea on severity (of course people are still wetting themselves over Adama being "injured", even though Nuno directly said he isn't after the game)

I like Ryan Giles, with better players around him i think he can do have a decent go at it.

Vinagre's hamstring injury looked pretty bad to me, the way he pulled up i wouldn't be surprised if we don't see him for a couple of months at least. Hopefully that isn't the case.

Ronan has joined Blackpool on loan

Hope it goes well for him. Too talented not to have a good career for me

If the club deem his ability suitable for Blackpool then I’m not sure it can be a disappointment. They clearly don’t rate him so him sitting on the bench would be as worthwhile as Cutrone

From this mid-week:

Elliot Watt got a full game in the replay at home to Cardiff, in which they lost 4-3, and was said to have had a good game.

Patrick Cutrone played 73 minutes in a 2-1 cup win and scored, a neat first-time finish from 12 yards out

Goal here from 1:40.

Miranda played a full cup game in a 1-0 win away.

Interesting news regarding Giles and Ronan. Giles has been in and out the team at Shrewsbury, but there's no doubt he's a talent.
