A very poor and flat first half an hour when we got lucky with the offside decision for their goal and could easily have been a goal behind and a different game.

As soon as we scored twice in quick succession though, we had the game completely under control. Hwang even got an assist for all his anonymity before his injury.

The second half was mostly us in possession with them having the odd shot from distance. We got stronger as the game went on with the subs, and we should have got a third goal really to wrap it up.

Bueno was dreadful at RCB and Vitor had to change it at HT. He shouldn't have started there IMO. Shame we didn't get to see Djiga given a run out too. Munetsi looks like he'll be useful as an impact sub.

Job done though and into the 5th Round. We are apparently ball No.7, and the draw is Monday night at 7pm.

Job done, useful benchmarking exercise. Good to know that even without Cunha, we should have enough to compete at Championship level next season*

*Except Hwang

Very professional the way we managed the game second half.
The quality gap though between the 2 leagues is freighting and not in a healthy way.
We had just so many better options in midfield and up top and we’re a poor PL side.
Preston, Cardiff or Millwall at home next pls

Enjoyed that (after the first half hour or so). 2nd half was very controlled, we looked good in possession, created enough chances to have finished the job but never looked like conceding.

All the Gomeses (Gomesi?) played very well, Cunha was on form and I really like the look of Agbadou.

Hoping we don't have to play Santi Bueno again, he looked as out of his depth against a Championship front line as he does every week in the Premier League.

Efficient if not exciting performance. Toti & Agbadou have the makings of two-thirds of a very decent back 3. Both played very well. Andre is our best midfield player. We took control of the game completely once he came on. Munetsi showed potential. I like Rodrigo Gomes, I think he could go on to be a superb player.

For all the Champo gets ragged on as desperately shit, it's not a bad standard at all. I thought Blackburn played some decent stuff, aided somewhat by Bueno and later Doc getting dragged out of position (in hindsight, thank goodness it wasn't Gueye running at Santi), but across the board they couldn't muster whatever that thing is that separates a top flight team from the rest, whether that's composure, improvisation, or something else difficult to properly quantify.

Shout outs to Nelson's assist for Cunha; feels like we've seen that exact sort of run be ignored almost exclusively over the last two years.

Agree with all the plaudits for Agba (really like him, so strong and composed) and Rodrigo.

Munetsi is going to be some wildcard...not sure yet whether he will have the quality to trouble PL defences but I think he could sew chaos in the right scenarios...

Johnstone is not a prem goalkeeper, has no sense of positioning or reading the play, that's my last comment on him he has to go.
Agga and toti both played well, bring on djiggie.
Bueno had trouble with the speed of cackpo or whatever he's called, and is no way suited to the right of the back three.
Rodrigo is gonna be some player, but i think Vic has a bit of a problem with current Cunha. He wants to do it all himself free kicks, corners, shots at goal, defending, dribbling, he has to hand it off more.
Thought bellegarde was ok, and a victim of the chaos that was the first half hour.
Jaoa seemed to be intentionally avoiding a card (good) and Andre was excellent when he came on.
Guedes, and Sarabia, there but not, but i just loved how Munetsi arrived in the box, if he can blend with Cunha, should be well worth seeing.
Vic made the necessary changes at half time, not on 80 mins, and gave semedo a well earned rest.

Who, specifically?

Only one I thinks below the level required is Santi.

Their disallowed goal was onside from what I saw, by the way. Got lucky there.

I was just saying, if that goal has stood and the ref had been conned by that little diving prick in the first half that could've been a very different game. In the end we were unlucky not to have won by 4 or 5 with the chances we had.

Santi, Sarabia, Hwang, Bellegarde and Johnstone.

Problem is, we need them around the squad. None of those five are here next year, for a start.
