Brilliant result and finally a performance to take to build on again.

A very welcome first half performance that we squandered being only 1-0 up. Very encouraging though as I didn't think we had that in us.

Made it very difficult and nervy for ourselves with a less energetic second half performance. Sat back too much and pressed too little. Cunha showed why I'd have taken him off the selfish git and fucks one into the corner to send Molineux wild!!

Bellegarde was a man possessed today. MOTM.

Good to get one over on them again too.

Bellegarde was brilliant tonight! So pleased for him.

Well who'd a thought that when we saw the line-up? Some excellent performances from Agbadou, Toti, Semedo, Doherty, Andre and the MOTM Bellegarde. I was cursing Cunha for a bit if a frustrating performance IMO, and then he scores the clincher, allowing us all to unclinch.

Quick word on Villa - a good time to play them after CL but even allowing for that they looked decidedly average. I think that was down to us playing really well in the first half but in second despite us sitting deep they looked fairly clueless.

Happy. Good performance and even though Villa upped it in the second half, they really didn't threaten our goal much other than the correctly disallowed goal. As for Bellegarde... that performance will have done him the world of good...so let's sell him now his market value has peaked. ;)

Liverpool next... at least we have 3 pts from a difficult set of fixtures.

Tip of the cap to Bellegarde - I just didn’t think he had that kind of performance in him, but grateful to scoff my own words. He was all over the pitch, flying in to tackles, progressive runs forward, a goal. Near enough the complete performance - chuffed for him.

Agbadou and Toti were very, very good. Sign a competent starting defender in the next couple of days and that back three looks tasty, all of a sudden.

Pleased we saw the good side of Sarabia, Sa & Guedes today (but ultimately, we know what they are). Still got concerns over stroppy bollocks but that celebration was quite the message to us fans - let’s hope he knuckles down now and we can see the best version of Cunha over the remainder of the season to help us stay up. Then you can have your move.

Ref had a stinker. Their disallowed goal is a howler, but then it was never a free kick in the first place. Did his best to even it out by not giving us a pen for the foul on Toti, and then by giving Villa every little 50/50 foul he could, but thankfully it didn’t matter.

Well done, boys. Delighted with that result!

Amazing stuff. They just never turn up here.

Couldn't fault any of them apart from Cunha who was awful until the last 40 seconds.
