Things that make you SAD thread.

Gone quick aye it? :(

Far too quick. Enjoyed every second, met some great people, spent special times with the family, and done all the things that I wanted to do. Hope the same goes for you UKY.

It has....but like you we have enjoyed our time here, caught up with family and friends which was long overdue! Tasted the wonderful foods of Wolverhampton and just got the QPR game to go tomorrow and hopefully catch up with some of the great people from The Wolves Forum! :)

When your Sister hugs you and won't let go.

This last day. Always drags, always full of sad goodbyes, always feels like your heart will break.

Emergency vet 2150 and my beloved Dynamite #bestdogever went to the rainbow bridge. Miss her already. Breaking out really good bourbon to celebrate the life of a great friend.

Celebrate the life of a lost friend Cyber

I lost my Nan on New Year's Day - unexpected (although she'd not been in brilliant health for a little while) and a big shock to the system, as many of you know it was me who was effectively acting as her carer for the last couple of years, so I'm the one who found her. So, very sad and I'll miss her every day. But she wouldn't want me to be moping about the place and she didn't like seeing me unhappy so it is up to me to carry on as I have been doing in recent times.

You've got to be thankful for what you've got which in my case is an awesome group of friends who've all rallied around since it happened.

You know you have friends who are there for you Dan, you know my number...Condolences again to you and your family, mate

Hope you're ok Deutsch. Very sorry to hear this news. Can be difficult to find a loved one.

Celebrate the life, and how much you loved each other.

I was never close to my mums parents, but the loss of my fraternal grandparents still affects me. Lost my grandad in 1997 and I still think about him a lot.

Just been told that Daughter in Law was readmitted to hospital on Wednesday - long term memory issues(inc not recognising people she has known for 20 yrs) & was getting disorientated & distressed.

On a stroke ward, though they have done CT & MRI scans & its not that, but not sure what is causing the problems. Whole thing compunded by having to be held in A&E from 4pm to 1am as no bed in a suitable ward could be found as the hospital in question is running at almost 100% occupancy. On a hard chair in A&E was not the place she needed to be.

Son also not being helped by a difficult line manager (though everyone else in the firm are fine) despite the fact that he has had no time off sick in the 6yrs he has worked for them & often gone well beyond the call of duty.

Are waiting for NHS funding approval to enable her to go into a private (charity run) specialist residential Neuro Rehab unit locally which hopefully will help as they have experts in this type of condition & is more like a home than a hospital.

Knew it wasn't going to be plain sailing, but 1 step forward & 3 back is a worry

Really sorry to hear that Peter. Hope things settle down soon and that your sons manager realises the error of his ways

Thanks Mike - the Manager is apparantely a prick anyway. Married with 3 kids & you would wonder how he would cope in the same circumstances

A lot of what my son does can be done online remotely & he has often been online resolving faults at 6am since this happened so has put in almost a full day before he went up the hospital anyway.
