Things that make you SAD thread.

Only just read this so apologies if late but my heartfelt commiserations to you and your family !

Condolences, Darlo. Best of luck with the funeral; you never know how some people will react to that event.

Thoughts are with you Mike. Deepest condolences.

I would just like to say a heartfelt thank you to you all for your kind words and thoughts, it's meant a lot.
One hour left at work and then I get ready to head down to Wolves...I'm looking forward to the chance to have a beer and a chat with the best friends a person could have

Just keep it going and socialise with the people that make you feel good.

Oh, man. Fucking icon of my late teens and early 20s. I used to purposely get back from uni (lectures depending) to listen to Mark and Lard in the afternoon. Piss funny. Saw the Shirehorses at the Manchester Academy as well. And of course they were broadcasting every day just a few hundred yards away from our uni.

Hope it all gets sorted.

Me too, apart from seeing the shire horses at uni in Southampton (it was good, but very shambolic). Still listen to him and Stuart Maconie at least 2 or 3 times a week.

Love Radcliffe, wonder if that's the reason he's moving to weekend mornings on six music? He's one of those dj's who makes it sound so easy and really connects with his listeners, hope he gets it sorted

Loved MDL and The Shirehorses too.

Sad stuff. Let's hope he beats it.

This year can fuck off as another family member loses their battle with cancer today. Hoping they would make it to Christmas but it wasn't to be.

Sorry to hear that Sue. Condolences.

I'm so sorry to hear that Sue. Cancer is just so awful and every family seems to be touched by it.

Thanks Bear & Pad. Tonight seems a good night to open this fine bottle of Red. To raise a glass to all of us who have lost someone to this, and to those close to us that lost the battle.

I'm so sorry to hear that, PPB. It's a fucking horrible disease.

Sorry to hear that Sue it’s an absolute arsehat of a disease but we’ll one day beat it!

I spoke to my dad about my nan and she was fine. 5 minutes later she’s having a massive stroke, thankfully she’s still alive but damn
