The Video Games Thread II - The Resurrection

E3 games I can't wait to find out more about:

Mass Effect 3
Battlefield 3
Bioshock Infinite

If those were the only 3 games released in the next 12 months I would still be happy. Anything else is a bonus!

I'm waiting with baited breath for Batman: Arkham City. It's supposed to be even better than the first game (Batman: Arkham Asylum) which will be going some as it was one of the best games I've ever played.

Mass Effect 3 and Skyrim will keep me happy for months.

Microsoft will be kicking things off at 5:30pm it would seem. If anyones interested in their conference it can be watched http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/e3 as well as various news sites such as IGN. Apparently their lineup of games was leaked earlier and they will be showing plenty Kinect stuff including the Star Wars game aswell as the original Halo remastered for todays generation of consoles.

EA will be having their conference at 8:30pm, viewable here I believe http://live-event.ea.com/e3/press (and again places such as IGN). They will be showcasing Star Wars MMO, Mass Effect 3 and Battlefield 3 so I'm guessing some of you fine folks here might be interested in that one.

First couple games shown were MW3 (missed it due to trying find stream), Tomb Raider (shes very noisey), EA sports and Mass Effect 3...which looked super if I ignore all the Kinect stuff. Really want to play ME3 now.

Assassins Creed: Revelations looks absolutely insane. More like Uncharted than Assassins Creed - a real improvement. The gameplay clip they showed at E3 was amazing.

I haven't seen that yet, I'll have to check it out. I did see the gameplay trailer for Bioshock Infinite, and all I can say is it's already a 'must have' game. It looks superb. I also quite like the look of the teaser trailer for the new Tomb Raider.

Looks like a massive step up - AC2 and ACB are pretty good as it is, this just looks so much better.

Cheers, LW. That's looking rather good. One of the things I like in the BF games is the destructible environments. You can be holed up in cover somewhere only for some bugger in a tank to come and destroy everything around you. It completely changes the game. I can't believe CoD has never twigged on to that. Safe to say if the early indications are anything to go by I'm definitely getting BF3 not MW3.

I've played on LA Noire twice since I got it.

I will attempt to get a proper go soon. Maybe tonight as I was due to go and see Greg Davies live but the lady wife is ill, so that is in doubt now

I need to play LA Noire again, think i just changed to a new desk before i went on holiday, i'm pretty shit at questioning though so i think i need to start paying a bit more attention.

Oh, and by the way it's definitely BF3 not MW3 for me. That game looks amazing and the Multiplayer modes from Bad Company 2 are superb: Rush, Conquest, Squad Team Deathmatch etc...All are fantastic and seem to be in BF3...

Hmm.... I dunno. I've hardly been on just recently. I'm sure I'll go back on at some point, but not sure if I can be arsed paying that much for yet another map pack. So no - probably not.

I too am leaning towards BF3, though we're going to need some recruits.

Apparently they're limiting "squads" of friends to four people only, and supposedly you won't be able to party chat with anyone outside your squad. Kind of sucks if you ask me.
