Cool. How much did your uke cost if you don't mind me asking?

£25. It's perfect for my son and for me to practise on. Here laddo practising with it:

The shop I got it from had some quite beautiful yet pricey ukes in it. But paying upwards of £150 for a present for a 4 year old really wasn't a good idea.

Unless it's an xbox....

Well obviously! Waiting for the announcement of the next console...

I've not had a new console since the PS2. I'm just waiting til the child is old enough to use her an excuse to get whatever is out by then.

Plenty of excuses have been trotted out.

"Kinect is good for exercising."

"Call of Duty is a good source of historical content."

"Rocksmith will really help to define their musical preferences and unlock any potential therein."

"F1 is a really good simulator for my driving lessons."

"You like the Iliad and the Odyssey - how is God of War any different?"

"You've seen how worked up I get over Wolves. FIFA helps me to train myself to be composed as I can just restart the game if I'm losing."

Sadly, Mrs Langers is much more intelligent than I am so none have worked but I'll keep trying.

Sadly my console playing has been a thing of the past since having our daughter. Luckily I managed to fit a lot in while my wife was pregnant (even though she got a bit annoyed at me spending hours mining different planets on Mass Effect 2 as the music drove her mad!). We have a Kinect though so I guess when she gets a bit older there will be lots of playing on that.

My Xbox only ever comes on when the kids are in bed.

I've been close to convincing the good lady using the kinect/exercise/dance central route, but truth is, we neither have the time or money at the mo.

Can't wait til we do though!

For the first time in over a week I woke up this morning without a banging headache.

I think I might finally be getting over woman flu.

I had similar 10 days ago. Still find I'm a bit snotty sometimes, along with the occasional sore throat.

Have recently has 2 "informal" interviews for a job, which have gone swimmingly well.
Was advised the formal interview will be tuesday to discuss a payscale, hours and the finer details of the job description and i should be in a new job by the end of the week!

Excellent! Well done mate.

Delighted!

The Drummer has moved into his Round Tower.

Now to be referred to 'The Tower of Power'...

He does make me smile.

Thanks WH & DDW!

Little nervous about the job, something i have not fully done before but the manager thinks i have it in me to make a change! :)
