The Things You Are HAPPY About Thread.

With effective composting of stuff, & recycling what we can, Mrs jelly & I generate v little waste, & could probably get away with a monthly refuse collection & fortnightly recycling. But we're no way representative.
Same for Mrs leeds and myself. We have fortnightly waste and green collections which alternate every week. Our next door neighbour (just happens to be my youngest son and his partner) share the bins. Two households using one bin of each.
 
Fortnightly in Wolverhampton, General waste one week then recyclable and garden the next, never had a problem with it.
Garden bin cost £35 for the year I think, money well spent in my opinion.
