The Manager Sacked/Hired Thread 2017/18

Emotional return to Everton for Moyes?

Big Sam to be sacked tomorrow and Marco Silva to replace him

Allardyce and Moyes both gone, yet you know they'll both be managing in the PL come Xmas. One will be at Cardiff.

The thing is it will make sense if one of the smallish clubs gets into early trouble* and they appoint the Count of Monte Bisto in Nov/Dec/Jan. Because he'll probably keep them up, and survival is their first aim anyway, even at the start of the season. Everton was just a terrible fit, they weren't going to go down and he wasn't ever going to change to fit the demands of a bigger club because he only manages one way these days. Of course he'll be a monumental prick while he's saving whoever it is, but you know what you're getting into. He had his chance to prove he could do something different and fell on his stupid fat face.

Moyes seems to still have the belief that he should be managing a top half team. I don't blame him for walking out on West Ham because their leadership is a complete shambles and given that on a financial level he probably never ever needs to work again, why would you voluntarily deal with Sullivan and Brady every day?

*NB - I do not count us in this equation for a number of reasons and even if we did get into bother and we did sack Nuno, neither of which I think will happen, I wouldn't want the gravy swilling oaf anywhere near here.

Leicester supporting friend of mine says he wants BFS there and they should get him now. I have no words

Martin Allen's interim post before going back to Barnet is at Chesterfield

The Salford nutters are off to Chester for another season in the Conference North. Seems strange that they'll pay them more than Salford would or more than Salford are paying Alexander. Seems to me that Neville et al thought they'd reached their limit.

Alexander is on crazy money, four year deal as well.

Every time there is a new post I open the thread hoping that the count is gone.

Soon, people, very soon.

Jesus. Merry go round. Surely some day they will all learn. Mind you, this is tony Fernandes who knows NOTHING about football.

Good old Schteve. Hasn’t he pretty much failed in every job since his first spell at Twente?

I don't think Neville and Co liked their old school training and man-management (non stop running and calling them cunts if they lose stylee). OK if you are a part time team but when you are a Pro club with desires to progress up the ladder their skill set has its limitations. Even though they got them promoted last season, they made hard work of it and came close to throwing it away.

Yeah they got what 3 promotions, they did pretty well to get that high up having been at Ramsbottom before I think. I always thought it was strange when they went full time that they gave them contracts, when it was pretty clear they would have to get rid fairly soon

Probably just scared to tell them they weren't getting the job.

It was only fair they were given the chance. 2 promotions in 2 years led to the club going pro they had earned the opportunity to do it, also it was a huge gamble by them as well. They gave up full time jobs to become managers knowing it could end the moment a bad run starts and put their homes at risk etc.

Byeeeeeeeeeeee

I'm sure the £6m pay off will soften the blow for him.

He will be back in the Prem next December on another rescue mission.

Cardiff manager by new year I reckon...
