The Manager Sacked/Hired Thread 2023/24

Maresca's deal is until 2029 with an option to 2030. I mean don't take any chances, you've sacked four managers in two years, you don't want someone five years down the line running out of contract.

Steve Cooper is under consideration for managerial positions at a number of Premier League sides as the ex-Nottingham Forest boss closes in on a return to the dugout.

Cooper has been out of work since leaving the City Ground in December after a two-year spell in charge that saw him guide Forest from the bottom of the Championship to the Premier League and maintain their status.

The 44-year-old Welshman has subsequently attracted significant interest, including from Burnley amid Vincent Kompany’s impending departure for Bayern Munich. Cooper declined the chance to pursue that role but discussions continue with top-flight teams over existing and potential vacancies.

Surely not a Man Utd option so leaves Brighton & possibly Leicester

It's an Ornstein story so has truth behind it.

Ok, it’s certainly not gonna be Man U and Brighton may well find themselves another De Zerbi.

The quality (or perceived quality) of Premier league managers is pretty low at the moment.

When will owners wake up to the fact playing ability has absolutely no link to managerial ability? Surely there are better options than the likes of Lampard and Rooney? At least Cooper has proven he has some managerial ability even if he comes over as a dick.

Kompany confirmed as the new Bayern boss

Kieran McKenna signs a new deal at Ipswich.

A fair bit of noise suggesting Blues want to nick Corberan off Albion.
