The Manager Sacked/Hired Thread 2017/18

Bit harsh that, Gerard has stopped Rodgers winning a title once before...

Brilliant, just brilliant. Chapeau sir chapeau

He struggled there it seems looking at their results. Probably the right decision for all concerned.

They'll employ Coleman and proceed to do feck all.

Oh my god that will actually happen won’t it

I thought they might keep Carvalhal as his record with wednesday wasn’t too bad in the Championship

John "pelanty" Hartson has already come out and said they should give Coleman the job. His reasons, because Coleman is from Swansea and won't like whats been going on there.

If they appoint Coleman then they'll be bottom half next season, he's shit.

He's 2-1 favourite ffs.

How does Coleman keep getting himself in with these clubs. I get that he's Welsh and is loved for the Euro 2016 run but he's basically a reincarnated Dean Saunders!

Just imagine the sort of media hype there would be if Southgate fluked us to a semi-final!

Chris Coleman's 'success' at Euro 16 is an irritating myth and as I go to a decent amount of Swansea games do not want to see that idiot there.
Wales' success on the face of it appears monumental and compared to England they did very well but the reality is only one game was particularly impressive. They beat Slovakia who were ok, nothing special. The only team to lose to England (yes it was an injury-time winner but they allowed England to completely dominate that game and Bale's goal was a FK from miles out Hart should save). Then they beat a truly awful Russian side. In the round of 16 they played out a horrendous League One-quality match against a team who were much more of a minnow than them. The game against Belgium was impressive and fair play, but they rode to the semis on just one upset. Their other victories were not that shocking. Bale and particularly Ramsey had good tournaments. Was much of this down to Chris Coleman? I don't think so. He was no Conte.

England break through the Slovakian wall and it is them playing Norn Ireland and Wales Iceland. Things could have gone quite differently.

I feel a bit for swansea but it was in their own hands and they blew it at the last. Coleman will not be a great appointment there.

But where do they go instead? Of those availbale he ticks enough boxes. It may be thatby some mircale he could get them back up but I cant see it. He doesnt have a great record at championship level does he?

The Village of QPR has lost its resident idiot.

I've had a conversation with a friend of mine who I used to live with in Aberdare and he says Coleman will simply kill Swansea and without the one world class player who can score the goals he is a clueless fool.

McLaren FFS. I'm sure my kid could make better appointments than most chairmen.

How come he has left? I know he's an idiot but I thought they were aiming for midtable while reducing an inflated wage bill and bringing through a few youth players. He has largely done that, hasn't he?
