Guedes or no Guedes?

  • Yes - More Playstation Face!

  • No - Let's forget he ever joined us

Decent finish to be fair

He scored one league goal for us (forget who against) where he actually did quite well; got clean contact whilst falling over.

Weird player. But better off not here.

There's an awful lot of filler and only a little bit of killer

Notable: looked like Yerson was on the right side of Villarreal's back 3, which I don't think he's done before. Was always central or left for FCC.

As said previously all down to Mosq coming on

I think he played RCB against Spurs in the league Cup, for the 20 mins or so he played before getting crocked.

(But obviously only 20 mins or so)

Can't take the risk now on his loan expiring and someone else nabbing him, they should trigger a permanent deal immediately!

A goal and assist against Barca at least increases his visibility for other clubs.

Weekend round-up.

Sasa Kalajdzic - Eintracht Frankfurt, Bundesliga

Played the full game of a 1-0 win vs Mainz, but had a fairly quiet match.

Luke Cundle - Stoke City, Championship
Cundle played an hour of a 3-1 win at home to Stoke City. Had some decent attacking play, especially when he broke behind and fired a low cross across the box that ended up blasted over the bar.

Chem Campbell - Wycombe Wanderers, League One
Played 70 minutes of a 2-2 draw with Fleetwood. Isn't too popular with the fans after his last loan spell there, and didn't do much to change their opinion after this.

Some comments:

"Campbell has added nothing, no tracking or tackling back & the few times he has had the ball he looks clueless (so no change on his last spell then)."

"I am shocked that the "drop our best forward and replace him with Chem Campbell" tactic has not resulted in a deluge of goals."

"We can still send Campbell back right?"

😬

Dexter Lembikisa - Hearts, SPL
Played a full game in a 2-0 win vs Aberdeen. Described as "solid" by Hearts fans to offset some of that Chem criticism.

Joe Young - Buxton, National League North.

Kept a clean sheet in a goalless draw with Brackley, which was needed after shipping six goals in midweek.

On as sub:
Guedes has earned himself a mention as he got a goal and an assist in a remarkable 5-3 win at Barcelona. Broke down the right both times to help his side grab a shock win. Mosquera also came on after 78 minutes to play his part.

From La Liga to the National League and Owen Hesketh came on for the last half an hour to help Kiddy get another win, this time at Dagenham - Phil Brown's 100% record continues.

Podence played the last 20 of a 3-1 Olympiacos win - he seems to have lost his place now - while Bendeguz Bolla came on as a 67th minute sub in a 1-0 win.

Unused sub: Hoever, Moulden, Silva, McLeod.

Not in squad: Chiquinho.

Ethan McLeod came on after 29 minutes of Alvechurch's 1-0 win last night and had a decent game by the sound of it. Was unlucky not to score from a header and had another couple of attempts on goal. Might get a run in the team now due to an injury.

Bolla played 56 minutes of Servette's 2-0 win at St. Gallen last night and got booked. The result puts them in second, six points behind leaders Young Boys.

Chem Campbell was left out of the squad for Wycombe's EFL Trophy QF win.
