Loan Watch 2019-2020

I agree, he's technically on loan from Wolves.

That’s the point. Inevitably he is.

But, without getting into semantics, like a lot of fans I've always bracketed 'Cav and Costa' together. Surely the point of this forum is to have interesting discussions - and the most interesting discussion is how the two of them perform at the top end of the Championship. One's getting goals, one's getting assists and yes, they'll both be off in the summer but to me they're both on loan at the moment and the most interesting - and informative - discussion is to have them on the same thread

Yep, doesn't really matter what thread the discussion is on and for me it certainly improves it to have the discussion together.

Costa has managed to grab a couple of good assists from the bench it seems.

Really pleased for Cav though, he looks to be really enjoying his football again and both of his goals, as well as the assist were top drawer. I imagine he is probably enjoying life living in London much more than in the West Midlands also!

He has family in London too I think

He does. Was always down there on days off. Perfect move for him

My Forest boss is gutted. They were linked to him just before he went Fulham. Instead they've had Bonatini and Mir

I think Mir is going to work out for them once he starts getting more minutes.

Didn't they play Leo on the wing or something wacky like that?

They did at least a couple of times.

Then started not picking him at all as they had seven players on loan and you can only have five in a matchday squad. Top planning.

Cav & Costa are gone so they are ex wolves really - we have moved on

Pleased to see both have had some impact on their new teams, what thread we put them on isn't that relevant.

Cav isn't gone, Fulham have the option to sign him, they're not obligated to do it.

Costa is gone, he will 100% become a Leeds player on 1 July 2020. Same as Afobe was always becoming a Stoke player on 1 January 2019.

I don't care that much though...

Both Cav and Costa did their stuff, when it was their time at Wolves, my gratitude for that, but as we can all see, we have moved on in shape predominantly but also in desire. Best of luck to both of them and much as I dislike Leeds I will always look for their results.

Always crazy that players can’t get clubs. But it’s probably more down to them getting more money here than possible buyers are able/willing to pay.

Aye. Remember we gave Leo a four year deal last summer as a PL club! Look how long it took us to finally get rid of EEL (notwithstanding that he should have just been allowed to leave years previously on the grounds of being awful).

No-one will take German Phil, he's just broken. Couldn't even rack up games in 3.Liga.

Jordan Graham clearly has other stuff going on because it is not and never has been a question of ability with him.

Rodders could have done with a better loan spell last season really, I imagine we are ringing round Primeira Liga clubs to see if they need a slightly flaky CH who can play a bit.

Burgoyne just isn't very good and will end up having the same kind of career as Jon Flatt.

I presume the later in the window it gets the more we are prepared to subsidise someone like Leo's wages/reduce loan fee so teams hold out. He won't be here in 10 days
