Loan Watch 2018-2019

Not much to report on this weekend, mainly due to the international break.

Ben Goodliffe played 90 minutes in a 2-1 win over AFC Flyde, leaving the Daggers just in the relegation zone on goal difference.

Aaron Hayden got the full game in a 3-0 home win and nearly scored when his header was just about cleared off the line.

Ryan Leak would have probably also got the full game if he hadn't been sent off towards the end, in a 1-0 defeat for Jumilla. Hanne had a busy 90 minutes but couldn't find a finish in there while Yang started but was subbed after an hour. Simpson and Randall made late cameos. Wilson and Stevenson didn't make the squad, interestingly: whether it was because Wolves liked the look of them in the friendly and took them back with them, who knows?!

Aaron Collins came on for the last 10 minutes of a 2-0 defeat at Newport but did nothing of note.

Unused subs: Ronan, Johnson.

Not in squad: Graham, Seedorf, Wilson, Stevenson, Ruddy.

I was seething with Walsall on Saturday. Not only for wasting part of my weekend on a drab 0-0 draw but because they were on top but couldn't quite unpick the Fleetwood defence...I know, let's make one sub and leave our creative loanee on the bench. Not as if their central midfielders were doing anything of note going forward.

Zeli did ok but still runs like a weirdo and it's incredibly obvious what he's going to do every single time.

I should imagine Ronan was seething too, although he doesn't appear the type to pick a fight.

Man of the Match performance one week then deemed pretty much surplus to requirements thereafter - what a waste of a loan.

If you had the physical attributes of a 12 year old, you wouldn't go round kicking up a fuss!

Lambert reveals the shocking news that Graham's loan at Ipswich will be ended in January (where Jordan will then join Oxford...do well and join them for a nominal fee next summer)

Friend of mine says that he's been dreadful for them whenever he's been given the chance to play.

From this past weekend;

Danny Batth - Middlesborough, Championship

Continued his run in the side with 90 minutes as Boro won 2-1 at Brentford and nearly scored with a header from a set-piece that just flew wide.

Rafa Mir - Las Palmas, Spanish Segunda División

Subbed after an unproductive hour in a 4-1 defeat at Cadiz.

Christian Herc - FC DAC, Slovak Superleague.

Played the full game but his team couldn't find a breakthrough in a 0-0 draw at home.

Ben Goodliffe - Dagenham and Redbridge, National League.

Got another full game in a 2-0 win at Bromley.

Aaron Hayden - Stourbridge, Evo-Stik Premier.

A full game in a 1-1 draw with Tamworth, should have scored with a free header but missed.

FC Jumilla - Jack Ruddy was brought back in from the cold to play Badajoz and impressed with a couple of fine saves and a clean sheet in a 3-0 win. Donovan Wilson and Bouba Hanne grabbed a goal each .Randall and Stevenson also started but were subbed towards the end.

Unused subs: Ronan, Collins, Miranda, Simpson.

Not in squad: Seedorf, Johnson, Mason, Bright, Zyro, Gladon, Yang, Deslandes.

From the weekend:

Danny Batth - Middlesborough, Championship

Another 90 minutes for Batth but a disastrous result for his side who were stuffed 3-0 at home to Villa.

Rafa Mir - Las Palmas, Spanish Segunda División

Lost his place in the team but came on after 67 minutes to try and help his team get a goal. To no avail, however, as it finished 0-0.

Connor Johnson - Walsall, League One.

A surprise inclusion for the cup visit of Sunderland and played the full game of a 1-1 draw.

Christian Herc - FC DAC, Slovak Superleague.

Another full game in a 2-2 draw.

Ben Goodliffe - Dagenham and Redbridge, National League.

A full game at Hartlepool where the game was heading towards a 1-0 home win before Goodliffe grabbed an equaliser in the last minute, a back post header from free-kick. The Daggers then went on to snatch a winner at the death.

Aaron Hayden - Stourbridge, Evo-Stik Premier.

A full game in a 2-1 away win.

FC Jumilla - Jack Ruddy, Stevenson, Hanne, Wilson and Randall (subbed on 62 mins) all started, although Stevenson was replaced by Yang just before half time due to injury. Game finished 1-1 although Ruddy made a great save to keep the scores level while Wilson almost nicked it at the end.

Unused subs: Ronan, Miranda, Simpson, Leak.

Not in squad: Seedorf, Mason, Bright, Zyro, Gladon.

Harry Burgoyne back at Wolves as his loan deal at Plymouth has been ended. Made his comeback from injury last week for our U23's

Yes it was, he did it very quickly after joining. Shame that the move didn't work out although if you look at how poorly Plymouth are doing he may consider it a bullet dodged.

Hopefully we can find him another club in Jan.

Daniel Armstrong has put Raith ahead early on at Montrose

Not on loan, we got rid of him

Article in the Observer about Jumilla today.

Not much to report this weekend;

Christian Herc managed to notch another assist for his team in a 1-0 win, playing the ball across goal first time for his team mate to tap in.

Ben Goodliffe and Aaron Hayden both played a full game for their respective teams.

Rafa Mir made a 10 minute cameo off the bench in a 4-2 defeat and didn't have time to make an impact. He did pick up a booking though.

FC Jumilla - The usual suspects Ruddy, Wilson, Stevenson and Hanne all started and struggled to find a way past their opponents. Randall and Yang were brought on late in the second half (for Hanne and Stevenson respectively) but the deadlock wasn't broken as it finished 0-0.

Unused subs: Batth, Ronan, Johnson, Collins, Miranda.

Not in squad: Seedorf, Bright, Zyro, Gladon.

Ronan, Gladon, Bright, Goodliffe, Hayden, McKenna and Seedorf all have their loans expiring in about three weeks. Goodliffe might stay at Dagenham I suppose and Hayden is lucky that he isn't just playing pure parks football, the rest will surely come back and we'll have to find them somewhere else.

Batth must hate playing against Villa. Two years running he's got in the team, played them, got stuffed, got dropped

I thought McKenna was back at Wolves.

Goodliffe has been a virtual ever-present for Peter Taylor so I'm sure he'll keep him if offered the chance.
