Hasn't that always been the case in south central LA ?

Taking it out now is the worst thing you can do. You'd basically be accepting a £5k loss. Investors know these sorts of things happen and also know that given time the funds will go back up. Unless you are retiring in the next year or two then it'll eventually go back up.

Yeah you're probably right, I just had a panic when I saw it had lost so much in such a short time. My plan had been to go part time in the next couple of years and draw small amounts to top my pay up. I'm 5 years away from my state pension, so it looks like carrying on till then....if I still have a job. Others have far more worrying concerns

I find it strange that a nation in near lock down wants to distribute 30 odd million letters when surely a 2 minute block of every TV channel, radio station, internet news sites, news bulletins, papers etc etc can get the message across.

The cost of the letters, cost of delivery, cost of recycling in this day an age is madness.

The problem you may have, unless you are choosing the investments yourself, is that you may have the current losses locked in as your pension provider will be looking to move your pot to safer investments as they would do normally the closer you get to retirement.

My actual pension plan finished in October so I took some of my tax free lump sum snd transferrd the rest into a retirement fund which I can draw on, I chose the least risk option so the returns are relatively low, I had hoped the losses would be low too.....wasn't really expecting the current situation, I knew the risks so will just have to suck it up, my provider did really well with my pension fund so hopefully they'll be able to keep losses to a minimum

Isolation has very few upsides as far as I can see, but I picked up the guitars for the first time in ages and am pleasantly surprised to discover that I can still play the solo to Comfortably Numb!

Started watching White Mischief, thinking that would be a fairly non-risqué film to while away a locked up afternoon. Naked women standing up from the bath saying ‘who’s going to fuck me’ would mean not. Wife has said I’m not allowed choice of films again.

Early next week the UK knobs will be smashing up shops then...

Already happening.
Aldi in dudley was ramraided and cashpoints have been ripped out in a few places already.

Looks like the police are having trouble at mosques too judging by videos going round.

Can see the yoofs targeting jd's etc in the next few weeks.

Now that is impressive. I did similar and got the les paul out and treated the neighbours to a very loud rendition of Oh Well

Another 209 have died taking the total to 1228 in the UK

I feel to get through to the most of the nation they should have had the cast of Love Island issuing the virus warnings on TV instead of Chris Witty.

speaking to a german friend last night, and her daughter lives and works as a songwriter in LA. she says a lot of people are more worried about people wandering around with guns than the virus.
the new sport there seems to be if you want it and someone else has got it, food , water, whatever....just go take it. i read somewhere that gun sales are currently climbing through the roof. Thank fuck i live in Europe.
Excuse my bluntness, but that's complete bollocks.

If theres any good that comes out of this horrible mess, it must be that the world stands up to China regard the trade in illegal wildlife. Too long the International Community has turned a blind eye to Chinas greed in trading endangered animals, the extinction of species driven by their medicine and tradition needs to be addressed.

If it was caused by the Pangolin, or indeed a bat then more needs to be done by the international community to address this.

If you've not already, google image bat soup,at what point would you think, yea you know what I could just go for some of that about now

To be fair Chris Witty was an awful choice for those TV announcements, like getting the information off one of the Thunderbirds.

Except isn't it now generally acknowledged that the story of Covid 19 coming from someone eating bat soup is pretty much a load of bollocks.

Wuhan is where the Chinese have industrial sized labs working on biological warfare testing and virology. Coincidence? Maybe but maybe not.
