I don't think we will see a net spend like this year's but this year some of our most important signings have come for lower fees, also in addition to those mentioned above, we will get rid of some fringe players like Sanderson and Giles which will all add up.

Semedo has no amortisation left either due to the weird way we structured his 3 year but it's really 5 years contract. Goes in as pure profit now.

Of your list we'd make a loss on Nunes so won't do it, Podence and Sa would go for single figures, nobody is giving anything other than a token amount for Jonny, RAN we'll lose 50% of any profit as it won't be worth the buy out. Neves depends on if we can find a fit, but that's the one for me that can generate something worthwhile. I just don't see a sizeable net spend this year. That's not the be all and end all, but limits the amount of overall we can make incoming wise unless we sign some diamonds

Anyone we sign after 31 May 2023 doesn't even get assessed for FFP until Feb/Mar 2025, it's not an issue.

Rolling three year FFP has us at -£65m with quite a bit of that still written off due to Covid for that purpose, we aren't even close to being in trouble on that front.

Sorry, misread it. Thought you were saying it was FFP that would hold us back.

Fosun haven't hired Lopetegui to go back to £0 net spend and he wouldn't have joined on that basis either. The money is there, it's using it properly.

In fact even in our shitty Spreadsheet FC years we've paid a lot of money out for players. A lot of them - Fabio (to date), Semedo (in relative terms), Cutrone, Collins, Hwang, Guedes, Nunes, Cunha (the latter two being early, but they aren't worth nearly £100m between them, are they) - have been fucking wank.

There's about £220m there and none of them signed before June 2019.

Can safely say I’ll sleep easier if I know that Sa, Semedo, Kilman, Collins, Nunes, Hwang never play for us again there’s more but can’t think.

I don’t think we played badly, that would suggest we played.
I said after Palace, half that starting eleven won’t be here or won’t be starters next season. Sa, Kilman, Semedo, Neves, Costa…jury is out on Lemina, Matheus has been found guilty and wanting…wouldn’t be surprised if he was gone in the summer too.

Lopetegui has got a pretty poor side getting top half results. I fully expect us to be challenging the top 2 next season. Beat the Villa next week and then relegate Everton and I will call that a decent second half of the season.
