8 confirmed dead so far.

And another. This time at a middle school (which are roughly ages 12 to 15) in Indiana.

No confirmed fatalities as yet, thankfully.

I guess be thankful that it is almost never a British event.

Preaching to the choir, Del.

+1, may have missed some mind.. #changegunlaws

Another shooting. This time at a Video game tournament in Jacksonville. Multiple fatalities reported.

About 30 minutes down the street from me.

I'm safe, so you haven't escaped my opinions just yet.

Good to hear Alan. The forum needs your input and info on the MLS.

LA Times reporting there had been a video game tournament and the shooter started once he was knocked out.

Best get preying.

Glad you're safe Alan, don't think we had anyone to step up for expert analysis on the MLS,African footballers and loud garish kits

Good to hear that you're ok Alan

Cheers all.

It's weird, I've been to the bar where the competition and shooting took place. I've been to Jacksonville Landing plenty of times. I know it's all psychological gymnastics but there really is an added layer of dread to the whole thing when it happens in a place that you've physically been.

Yeah, it's weird. Langers and I commented on it when there was the terrorist attack in Manchester. We'd both been to the place where it happened dozens of times, walked past it hundreds of times, it brings it home for real.

I can't decide if I'd feel better or worse about it if it was terrorism rather than just some guy who lost at Madden.

Maybe it would be equally bad, just in a different way.

I sympathise Alan. I remember the London bombings far too well. I was on the tube in front of the bomb at Edgware Road and I just made that train as the doors shut. There but for the grace of God I guess. I try not to think about it.
