I really want this to be true because of his name. The whole 'Dingles' thing is just a bit embarrassing TBH (I genuinely don't understand why so many fans of other sides find it so amusing - it really doesn't work!!), so it would be lolz central if one of the richest men in China happened to take over the club and give us loadsa money.

If anyone is interested, here's hopefully putting the wealth into some sort of image we can grasp, after all millions and billions are bandied about as if they're similar.
Steve Morgan is worth about £500 million, ding lei is worth say £3 billion
A million pounds in £20 notes is just higher than a double decker bus,so Steve would have 500 of those piles,
Ding on the other hand would have 3000,hence the phrase serious piles of money!

If he does take over I reckon we should embrace it much like Brighton do their so called gay icon status. To the darling clementaine tune

We are Dingles Wolverhampton We are dingles home and away
We are dingles run by Dinglei and we have loads of money

Then we wave mock £20 notes at the away fans. Cant bloody wait

He is also known as William Ding so we could go from one construction owner to one called Bill Ding! You couldnt make this up could you. And the latest estimate has his net worth at 7 billion a mere 14 times richer than Morgan. The interest he would make at 4% on his fortune means he could buy the club with 2015 interest alone. If he were to give us next years interest to spend that would give the club a 30 million approx treasure chest for 2015. Now thats what I want for Xmas

So want this to be true & happen if only so we can poke fun at ourselves re the name to wind up 'others'

Agree with Cyber's comment (though applies to anyone who takes over) - in any relationship if you show the love then you get so much more back!

Agreed imagine the tesco carrier bags self parodying that? No not going to happen. Wind em up like clockwork

Tpau-
Dont look too hard cause weve got china in our stand
We have had Bull and Wright , But Dinglei is our new man

Bob the builder
Chairman Bill Ding will you fix it?
Chairman Bill Ding yes he will!

Just seen someone write that he'd rather have Robbie Keane take over (with his estimated 40m Euro wealth) and bring in Muscatt than have some Chinese bloke (worth an estimated £7bn) buy Wolves  :screwy:

Feck that! I will change my name to Cy Ber Man to be more chinese if it means a sugar daddy philanthropist capable to taking us back to a position amongst the top 10 clubs in this country

How long before someone says we shouldn't sell to him on the hypothetical grounds that he changes us from Wolves to Chinese Dragons?

Yep, that was another..."I'd rather we played in gold and black in League Two than red in the Premier League"
Got to love people just making shit up!

I'm not sure why anyone would mess with our 'brand'. Cardiff... fair enough. They're a nothing club with an identikit stadium a boring kit and average support.

Exactly. Only problem I could forsee would be a 'Hull Tigers' scenario where an owner wanted us to be the Wolverhampton Wolves or some other nonsense.

Not that likely as we're pretty much universally known as Wolves already. You don't need to change the name.

I'd be far more concerned that irrespective of net wealth, whoever takes us over knows absolutely bob all about football, à la Tony Fernandes. That seems a far more real threat to me.
