What are you currently listening to....

I'd never heard this one until yesterday when it was on the end credits of a TV show.

Catchy as anything.

Van Morrison - Astral Weeks

Superb stuff.

Got my iPod all ready to go for by the sun lounger for a week. I predict it will be noisy.

I also saw the new Metallica track on facebook this morning. Rather decent I thought. New album due November 16. Squuueeeeeeee

Someone playing and practicing the piano and another the trumpet. Both fucking crap.

Thank the Lord you don't live next door to me. Micro practising Master of Puppets through my hundred watt Marshalls can be a touch ear piercing.

I've been listening to S&M all week after I dreamt about it last Saturday!

Master of Puppets is amazing, better than what my next door neighbours usually have playing!

It is their finest hour for me, although I adore Ride the Lightning and And Justice for all (bar the dry as gandhis sandals production). Micro isn't 12 for a fortnight and he has absolutely nailed the title track Hetfield parts. Going to teach him Disposable Heroes next. Quite the guitarist already, and he is saving all his pocket money for an ESP Hetfield signature guitar. At the current rate I think he should be able to order it in 2047

Amazing, at his agree I couldn't even play Brain Stew by Green Day! In fact, I couldn't even play an e minor never mind a whole song!

He is very good indeed. Wanted to show me something he had learned the other day. I thought it would be a riff. Nope, he had worked out the Bohemian Rhapsody solo. And it was note fucking perfect. Scary.

May be ear piercing but at least Micro can play a decent tune.

Now find myself listening to terrible songs ( other thread) but terrible songs which trigger a memory. If you have just clicked on this thread to see what's been posted, I apologise for wasting ya time :icon_lol:

Just put on Exile On Main Street after mentioning it in the aforementioned thread. Great album. Love it.

Nick Cave's new album Skeleton Tree. In part, it's his musical response to the death of his son. The first three tracks (all I've listened to so far) are excellent. Dark, atmospheric and beautiful.

Well, that was one of the saddest records I've heard, even without knowing the context. Some beautiful tunes on it. Not much of Cave's usual theatrics, just quiet grief. Reminded me of Johnny Cash's version of Hurt.

Rob Scanlon - famous for doing Raining Blood on the Banjo.

Now I am watching him do Cannibal Corpse on the Ukelele. Holy Motherfucking Christ!!!!

LCD Soundsystem - Sound of Silver.

Absolutely adore All My Friends. Amazing tune.

The only one of theirs I like is Daft Punk Is Playing In My Car.
