Or opened a zip file called Olympiakos with all their positions in, and extracted GK to the desktop over the existing file. "Do you want to replace GK?" - Yes.They should have controversially dragged Rui to the recycle bin first.
Tbf all the knowledgeable guys on here seem to rate the Portugal manager as a couple of rungs below Saunders, maybe that means Sa is fantastic?I’m trying to think of the style of play that would benefit choosing Portugal’s at best, 4th choice over their No.1 keeper.
That being said, welcome to Wolves Jose. Hopefully you’ll be a success for us.

Indeed, guys widely seen as a joke but seems his opinion on Patricio v Sa is cock on but reverts to type for the Neves v Palinha/Carvalho/pretty much every other Portuguese midfielder who gets picked ahead of him.

£10m+ in the bank for FFP purposes and then £1.35m on the outgoings tab. I'm far from convinced about the FFP line that Jeff is peddling, but that would be my take on it.5 year contract is interesting too.
Sellars is just a mouthpiece, you missed this gem“He’s aggressive when coming for crosses, he commands his penalty area, has excellent distribution and he’s a very pro-active goalkeeper, and will be an important part in how we want to play under Bruno." : Sellars
Maybe he'll suit the way Lage wants to play more than Rui would?
When has Rui ever been weak from crosses?I mean Rui was an extremely good shot stopper who wasn’t really saving shots any more.
His distribtution was abysmal (relatively), likewise sweeping which was non existent. Add In weak from crosses (historically a key component in England) and you’ve not got a great GK there. Basically Karl Darlow lite (Newcastle’s backup GK)
The second paragraph isn’t debateable, but whether the first line was the exception or the rule we will never really know.
It makes sound financial sense in isolation. We we’re never getting a fee for him again (even if he renewed), and we were going to be in the market for a new GK in a year, max 2 years anyway.

"Jose is somebody who is very much coming into his peak years as a goalkeeper and has always been high up on our target list." He has no personal respect, but I daresay is being paid very well for it.
I'm not saying no-one can be sceptical, but come on...we don't even know what the team will look like yet, let alone whether it's better or worse! They haven't even kicked a ball in anger yet mateWe're a worse team with Sá in it.
All those times he never came for them? We're a worse team with Sá in it.

He's bottom of the pile for PL keepers when it comes to claiming crossesWe're a worse team with Sá in it.

I would say on the footballing side they're taking a number of very risky gambles all at the same time, which is always going to make people edgy at best.I know none of the officials at the club know as much as you guys but I'm just trying to see this in a balanced way. They seem to have lost a lot of goodwill and trust in a very short amount of time, and I don't think that's completely fair.
