they ( w ham) could bid for kilman if they wished to...

Olise going to Chelsea. Really good player. But they already have Madueke as a back up left footed right winger who they spent a lot on in January, how are they planning to fit all of these players in?!

And that’s ignoring the fact they released him at 16 in the first place

I don't get it at all.

There's a decent article on the Athletic today on what they are trying to achieve
Summary?

If its not own every player known to man and laugh in the face of the PL and UEFA it's a lie

Why would any midfielder go to Chelsea right now, just to play once every 10 games?

I also don't understand how they're going to fit them all in. Enzo was sensational against Liverpool.

Tbf, centre midfield was probably their lightest position before this week. Caicedo, Fernandez with Lavia to rotate in is strong now though. Means they don't have to rely on Gallagher.

They’re basically buying every good young player they can get their hands on. The transfer fees effectively don’t count because it’s all amortised over 5 years and they have a conveyor belt of kids coming through and players they send to Saudi that gives them the full amount back for FFP purposes. I think that’s roughly what the Athletic article says.

Would be hilarious if they don’t get into Europe again now.

Aston Villa are closing in on Galatasaray’s attacking midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo and are working on a deal to sign Sevilla left-back Marcos Acuna

I read that too. The player sales are just about offsetting the amortised fees, but what it also said was they made huge losses the previous two seasons and they need to start turning a profit.

Also, it mentioned that the new rules stopping 8 year deals is only a UEFA rule right now (came in July 1st) and the PL doesn't have such a rule yet. Given that they aren't in Europe they are alright to keep doing that for the mean time

Lavia to Chelsea. £53m + £5m in add-ons

Aymeric Laporte looks like being the next player to fill his pockets with that sweet sports washing Saudi cash.

Lewis Hall to Newcastle for £28m.

Chelsea are deranged. Hopefully it all collapses in on itself soon.

Getting more money from Saudi clubs I see
