That would explain how the ridiculous figure of 12m was obtained then.

Their chairman was on FiveLive the other night and stated that they had agreed a fee of 10m for Siggurdson but the player didn't want to go there. I would imagine its similar to when we bid for the likes of Adam Johnson and a fee was agreed but we couldn't match personal terms.

That man paid good money for Steven Mouyokolo and Ronald Zubar, you would not say "here is £20m for defenders, knock yourself out".
