At the risk of compounding things from the Iorfa thread...

Am I blind or didn't Barnes win the ball?

Iirc he went through the ball and caught Matic knee high with his studs. He meant to do it too. It beggars belief how ridiculous the rules are regarding punishment post match. Imo yellow cards should be able to be appealed and it shouldn't matter what the referee has seen if there is an obvious red card that has been missed it should be punished.

Definitely agree with the second point. What's the purpose of having replay if you can't judge anything that "wasn't seen" live?

The theory is that the ref has seen it and by reversing the decision your are basically calling him shit.

Don't know why that's a rule though as everyone is calling him shit anyway and I don't know why refs have this power to not be called shit. I don't understand who created a rule where it seemed sensible to allow shit decisions to be made and back them up.

"The entire Cardiff City board will boycott Tuesday's Championship game at Wigan in protest at what they allege to be a club owned and managed by racists."

Qatar World Cup - unconfirmed reports that the task force will recommend World Cup starts Nov 26th. World Cup final to be played Dec 23

And even more so English football as its the busiest period. The season will surely have to be extended

Bundesliga winter break starts mid December, they don't play again intil the end of Jan.

Prem & Championship will have to stop from the first week or 2 of November and restart in January. Can see a July start, lots of games crammed in, in the early weeks.

So, would it be actually played in 2021?

And wasn't Australia's bid discounted as it proposed a winter tournament? I imagine the lawyers are rubbing their hands together already.

What happens if a L1 clubs fixtures clash with a home nation game? Are people just going to just have to miss one of them.

I guess the clubs will alter their games to miss any England games. The fixtures in a World Cup are set well in advance

It was. They made one big mistake though and didn't put enough $$$ in their envelope for Sepp.

Well, yeah, but they can't use that as an official reason can they!

What are the chances that Australia will try and force a re-bidding process?
