Professional football suspended in Greece

Cue 'at least someone has scored at the Valley' type jokes.

Mystery of the day: how has Tyler Blackett got a new deal at Man Utd? I don't think he's as good as Ebanks-Landell!*

*Racist comparison just for Alan

Just to ensure a fee if they move him on I guess.

You have to offer them a contract on at least equal terms to their existing deal for that to apply. I'd just have released him though, he is crap. League One beckons inside two years.

If any interested team aren't in a position to match his current deal then they aren't really likely to offer a fee for him are they? Not someone they should be worried about losing, he isn't good enough for United and I doubt he'll have shown anything to attract any suitors either, other than having United on his CV.

Crossed wires I think - let's say he was on £5k a week on his previous deal, if United don't offer him at least another year on at least £5k then they don't get a fee when he signs for someone else, regardless of his age. If they offered him it, he turned them down and signed elsewhere they would get a fee.

Although we agree that he is shit and has no business getting a new deal.

Are you flirting with me, Dan?

"We decided to own up and explain that it was set up by us to launch our pitch hire campaign," said commercial manager Mark Hassan-Ali.
The club are hiring out their pitch for fans to play on in the summer and launched the offer on their website under the headline 'Score at the Valley'.

Amazing scenes!!

Better than the 'pie and a pint' offer I guess.

That's the best thing that's happened in football for years. I'm dying. :icon_lol:

The 2021 Confederations Cup won't be taking place in Qatar, which raises all sorts of ridiculous questions.

What a clusterfuck that cycle is turning out to be.
