Rene Girard (Lille coach):"To those who say our league is shit, it proves there's perhaps shit (Arsenal) elsewhere as well."

Swap Everton for Southampton and the top 7 of the Premier has a very predictable look about it today albeit in no particular order

Looks like QPR may avoid the wrath of a huge FFP fine if they get relegated as they say their losses last season were £9.8m (down from £65.4m when they were in the PL the year before). The figures have to be ratified first though. Clearly that doesn't really add up - as their wage bill didn't come down by that much, they didn't bring in that much in fees for departing players, they still signed truckloads of expensive players yet their income vastly decreased - but I don't think the Football League have the best forensic accounting on their side and they'll probably just wave it through. We can't complain too much after they let our "£33m loss" for 2012/13 go through with no questions asked, meaning we sailed through for 2013/14.

They've written off the shareholder loans, haven't they. That could have paid for a lot of the transfer fees and wages etc.

Writing off loans doesn't affect P&L.

Saw Matic did a JT & had full kit + shin pads for the celebrations at wembley...

England football arrested on suspicion of having a relationship with a 14 year old girl. Is this true?

14 or 15 makes no difference. 12 would make a massive difference.

Under the law if the defendant REASONABLY BELIEVED that the girl was 16 and she was actually over 13 but less than 16 then that is a defence.

There is no such defence for an under 13-year-old.

Premier League B teams in the JP Trophy anyone?

Well it will mean one of them wins it. Not sure how seriously anyone else takes it anyway.

Dave Mackay has passed away

A proper hardman of football

Dave Mackay was a hard man back in the day when the game was so much different than it is now. Hard, but fair. He was a great player, who inspired all those around him. Defeat was a dirty word to him, and he expected the same level of commitment from all those around him. Even injuries did not stop him playing.

R.I.P. to a footballing great.

The FA's investigation into Malkay and Pal has been delayed due to new significant information

Leicester City announce a massive £21m loss, yet are confident they have not breached FFP rules. It is all very confusing.

Having seen a picture of her it looks as though she is in her 20s, not 15!

Dave Mackay is a proper football legend.

I think the picture was from a game where he was returning from a bad leg break only to have bremner trying to do him again. wolves fans should know what a little shyster bremner could be. he should have twatted him
