Sheff Wed (H) We are having a party build up

What? Of the "Wolves v West Brom"phall where I was the judge and had one tiny spoon of death? That would be on Wombat's phone if anywhere. Honestly, it was lovely (genuinely - the spicing was fantastic) but it was like having your stomach attacked with a chainsaw covered in lava. As for the Edinburgh curry where I imitated street art in my agony then I suspect Vis is your man for any shots left, despite his virus.

The first was an honourable draw, albeit with much shrieking from our esteemed judge; the latter was a masterclass in mime and what is possible to do with a tin of Tesco Value lager.

Batth was crap last game, I'd hope he'd be banished again.

Batth wasn't crap on Saturday. He had pretty much nothing to do. Gave away one daft free kick but that's about it.

It shouldn't matter how he played in the previous game, Bennett has proven himself to be a far superior player so should start over Batth every time if he's fit.

Am up for this and staying over (as is ndorset) - had (I think) about 14 for the post match curry for the League 1 winning party so this could be another season's record for us

Sentiment aside would rather see Bennett back in as he is the better player, but can easily see Batth being given his swansong for the last 2 games (which TBF aren't the hardest)

If there are a fair number of us looking for a curry after then may be worth 'reserving' somewhere rather just turning up

We had 5 after the Burton game - Dilshad had a 45min wait before we could get in & the Bilash wouldn't let us in at all as were overbooked.

Ended up in a Cantonese place on Queen Street (had an imaginative name though - The Queens ) - decent food though

How many are planning on attending the curryfest?

I can book a table if I know rough numbers and time

He wasn’t crap as he had nothing to do, but he didn’t do what he had to do well. He looks way out of his depth on the ball. After a few games Bennett looks accomplished with the ball at his feet and has shown good passing ability and composure. Danny has had a year in this system and sticks out more now as everyone else has developed and he hasn’t.

He will never make it here as he isn’t only rubbish on the ball, he is suspect defensively in a 3 as he gets exposed. Same as when he used to get dragged out into the channels in a 2, he now lives in the channel, and he is simply not good enough out there.

I'm not advocating he play ahead of Bennett at all. He just didn't have a bad game on Saturday as was claimed on the last page.

was looking forward to joining you for the curry fest, but at last minute the missus booked to come back with me so i'm screwed !!
have a 'hot' one for me.

The first half on Saturday when Bolton were interested showcased Batth's game good and bad. In the main he got the best of a pretty physical battle against Ameobi, but his distribution, even 10 yd passes wasn't great, often at Doherty's heals rather into his feet. In the right team he'd still be a decent Championship centre half - Bamba and Morrison are about to go up automatically, but we expose his limitations rather than play to his strengths.

I’ll let you know. Probably not as I’ll have Cass in tow.

I'll let you know in the next day or two about the curry, not sure what the wife's plans are Saturday evening. Will be in the London pre-match though.

Bilash is too pricey for me this month. Dilshad I can stretch to, but Bilash, awesome as it is, is too rich for my blood.
