Relegation 24/25 Thread

Problem is it doesn’t look like anyone is having points docked.
Brentford have adapted well to Toney leaving and Leicester don’t look as bad as the promoted 3 last season.
Forest have a proper manager now and have comfortably moved past us.
We’ve stood still probably crept backwards and have slid into the relegation zone.
The fact is it’s all very avoidable especially with Hobbs and his squad unbalancing recruitment and GON reverting to tactics that makes about 6 forward players redundant.
Probably crept backwards? We’ve fallen off a cliff. We are playing Forbs or Bellegarde instead of Neto, it’s like playing with ten men.

Southampton and Ipswich are winning

Try not to look at the table...

Gaz needs to remember how to win again, for all our sakes

Even if we win, we still dont get out the bottom 3, we just keep in touch

Goal for Leicester at Portman Road

4 games out of 10 now where we've scored 2 or more and not won.

Join the fucking dots, someone.

The defensive record is abysmal under O'Neil. That's 9 games out of 10 this season (12 in 13 going back to last season) we've conceded 2 or more, you're never going to pick up enough wins to survive when you're needing minimum 3 goals to win a game.

5 clean sheets in 48 games now under him, that's just absurd.

Lopetegui still has more (in fact will still have more if by some miracle we keep one next week)

Amazingly just throwing another centre half into the XI solves nothing. Who knew.
It's now been clear two weeks in a row we look much better when switching to 4-2-3-1. I'm just amazed he stuck with 3 at the back after admitting he knew it was a bad idea against Brighton. Just weird to do it in a high pressure winnable home game. If he does it again next week he's lost the plot completely and should be sacked regardless of the result.

The summer rebuild which will be required will be another missed opportunity. The amount of players who will leave will generate significant sales, I just don't have any faith we'll do it properly.

I also think there is a none zero chance Fabio Silva lines up as our striker in the championship

Relegation and we are more fucked than Jenna Jameson. Rebuild opportunity is a rather optimistic outlook on it.

@Deutsch Wolf did a list of those probably staying after relegation and it’s not a pretty sight at all.
Look relegation happens, my biggest concern is they build a squad that’s nowhere near good enough if we go back up.
To add if by some miracle we stay up this season our number will come up in the very near future and these season of scraping 35-40 points are just a regular theme unless there’s a major shift in policy or new ownership.

Relegation is happening. Yesterday nailed that on for me, the worst possible result. The squad will be decimated, best we can hope is that GON goes and we have a Jorge led rebuild. Realistically I think we will do well to not repeat the double relegation.
