Next Manager chat.

Weird for WZ to be congratulating but doesn't surprise me as that does seem like his way - quite a positive guy... but for Batth to make those comments is pretty cuntish.

This is it for me. Things are said in the heat of the moment a lot of the time but to pretty much put all of the blame on the foreign players is cuntish as you say and lets be honest it isn't going to help. If they haven't got the heart then calling them out in front of the manager definitely won't improve things.

Perhaps there would be no reason to question that heart if we weren't always going one nil down. Like when Batth put in the challenge of an utter coward with the heart of a pea in the first minute of the Norwich game.

We didn't struggle after the goal on Saturday for lack of heart. It was our manager making changes which meant we had no shape at all.

We don't know the context behind Zenga apparently congratulating. Yelling at them during a slump might not prove to work, it never motivated me in any walk of life to be screamed at or told I am shit. Anyone remember when Clough was so pissed off at the Forest players when losing at the half to Huddersfield that he sat in the dug out throughout the entirety of half time! Not saying that has any relevance but we seem to jump on things that don't make fans to us outsiders and make our own narratives for them.

If it's true what Batth said then it's Roger-eqsue for me. How he can expect to get on in football with such a narrow mindset is staggering. His keeper despite being English born plays for Nigerian for example, so our culture is far more widespread than an 'English and them' mentality.

Sorry, but I don't believe Batth said that or at least not in the way being portrayed. If he did the issues are way bigger than sacking the manager

Following the Leeds defeat Zenga went round the changing room shaking players hands and saying well done. When he got to Batth, Danny refused to shake his hand and said "Why are you congratulating people, we have a bunch of foreigners that have no heart, who's heads drop as soon as we go 1 down." Apparently, they carried on their conversation in private.

I would love to know where these sources come from. And besides, I feel like Danny or just about anyone would be likelier to say this to said foreigners rather than passive-aggressively doing it in through Zenga. This is after the Villa game which we dominated without being able to score as well

This re-incarnation of Enoch Powell is Danny Batth, who is I believe half Indian?
There are plenty of reasons for our poor form but lack of fight from the non English players isn't one. In fact most seem better when we are losing.
Mind I don't think I'd have been congratulating the team after losing to a pretty ordinary Leeds.

Zenga Sacked.

Rob Edwards has been informed to expect to be in charge for the next 2 weeks.

Zenga flew back here Tuesday was sacked and then flew back to Dubai. The rumours about him not doing training are true, delegating a lot to Stefano who the players liked.

The staff didn't like Butti. Total tit from what I've heard.

If he said it, and I have no reason to believe he didn't, there is likely to be a much bigger context that is not known. We get to see these players once or twice a week - what goes on at training and at other times is largely unknown to everyone except those who are there. It is probably the case that Texeira, Costa, Cavaleiro, John feel little more than playing pieces and I doubt any of them were desperate to come to a mid table second tier team. Elsewhere in the squad, the likes of Stearman, Price and to a lesser extent a few others from pre-Fosun are barely getting a look in.

We don't know what effort is being put in during training by some of these players and Costa aside, the rest are right of the pace on match day. The way in which Zenga et al have been dispensed with suggests strongly that things are not well at the club and it wouldn't surprise me if the bulk of the loan players are gone in January and we start again. This season could well be a write off. What Edwards does with the squad could be a very strong indicator of our immediate plans.

Only passing on what I'm being told. Reliable sources, but can't guarantee it's true, but apparently we are trying to poach managers who are already employed.

Jose, look at the way they laughed at you this weekend. We would never.

Makes clear this was a reaction rather than a planned move where we had a good option lined up then.

What a over reaction on here. I darent venture over to Twitter. Has Danny Batth closed his account due to the fucking neanderthals calling him all manner.

If Batth has really said what is rumored, I never want him in the shirt again. That's bigger than sport.

Think you have hit the nail on the head there TSB. Two clicks.
An ongoing problem.
From McCarthy's latter days with the 'Shift putter inners' and the 'Stars'. Through the solbakken/Saunders era. Through the Jackett era with McDonald, RVLP etc. And now this. It kind of bears out my mates description last weekend. Stars with no heart (won't use his actual phraseology) and bang average championship players. One constant who has always given his all no matter who has been in charge is dangerous Dave Edwards. Fair play to the bloke I say. Limited but a managers dream.

Footballs not a matter of life and death, it's more important than that.
You don't get that do you?

The bit about "it's all the foreigners' fault". Unacceptable behavior from any player.

You don't have to look for race/xenophobia into every little comment. You're really looking for something that isn't there.
